Kinetic Studies on the Interaction of HIV-1 Gag Protein with the HIV-1 RNA Packaging Signal
During HIV-1 virus assembly, the genomic RNA (vRNA) is selected for packaging by the viral protein Gag because it contains a specific packaging signal, Psi. While there have been numerous studies of Gag–Psi interactions, there is almost no information on

Structural mechanisms of binding kinetics [PDF]
Human protein kinases play essential roles in cellular signaling pathways and - if deregulated - are linked to a large diversity of diseases such as cancer and inflammation or to metabolic diseases. Because of their key role in disease development or progression, kinases have developed into major drug targets resulting in the approval of 52 kinase ...

This work explores Li‐substituted P2 layered oxides for Na‐ion batteries by crystallographic and electrochemical studies. The effect of lithium on superstructure orderings, on phase transitions during synthesis and electrochemical cycling and on the interplay of O‐ versus TM‐redox is revealed via various advanced techniques, including semi‐simultaneous

Enhancing Low‐Temperature Performance of Sodium‐Ion Batteries via Anion‐Solvent Interactions
DOL is introduced into electrolytes as a co‐solvent, increasing slat solubility, ion conductivity, and the de‐solvent process, and forming an anion‐rich solvent shell due to its high interaction with anion. With the above virtues, the batteries using this electrolyte exhibit excellent cycling stability at low temperatures. Abstract Sodium‐ion batteries

Insights into Allosteric Control of Human Blood Group A and B Glycosyltransferases from Dynamic NMR
Human blood group A and B glycosyltransferases (GTA, GTB) are retaining glycosyltransferases, requiring a catalytic mechanism that conserves the anomeric configuration of the hexopyranose moiety of the donor substrate (UDP‐GalNAc, UDP‐Gal).
