In the recondite pulmonary neoplastic milieu, DESMIN+ cancer‐associated fibroblasts function as the paramount stromal source of IL‐8, precipitating a deleterious immunological metamorphosis by engaging CXCR2 receptors on the myeloid lineage. This paracrine stimulus triggers a mechanotransduction cascade characterized by RhoA‐dependent actin ...

Perivascular matrix densification promotes the emergence of aberrant endothelial tip cells (ATECs) that invade and persist within fibrotic microenvironments. Using in vivo lineage tracing and a human microvessel model, this study shows that fibrous matrix cues destabilize VE‐cadherin–mediated junctions to gate TGF‐β signaling, inducing a pro ...

Canagliflozin treatment reshapes the gut microbiota in DKD and elevates levels of melibiose, a metabolite derived from Roseburia intestinalis. Melibiose directly binds to and enhances the enzymatic activity of glyoxalase 1, leading to decreased methylglyoxal accumulation.

The earliest descriptions of epilepsy date back to 3000 years B.C., which was, throughout history, linked to divine factors, and only in the mid-nineteenth century it was widely accepted as a pathology originating in the brain. Thus, summarily, epilepsy is a disease of the brain involving recurrent unprovoked seizures, which arise due to an abnormal ...

This study presents a human Bone (and Bone Marrow)‐on‐a‐Chip model based on native human bone scaffolds and autologous cells. Dynamic perfusion and sequential cell seeding replicate the physiological bone remodeling process in vitro, enabling the long‐term culture of functional, mature bone marrow immune subpopulations.
