Biocomposite PBAT/lignin blown films with enhanced photo-stability
International Journal of Biological Macromolecules, 2022Lignin can be obtained as a byproduct during cellulose-rich pulp fibers production and it is habitually treated as waste or intended for low-value destinations. However, due to UV absorption and mechanical properties, lignin can contribute to the fabrication of biodegradable blown films with superior performances.

Biocomposite cellulose-alginate films: Promising packaging materials
Food Chemistry, 2014Biocomposite films based on cellulose and alginate were produced using unmodified birch pulp, microfibrillated cellulose (MFC), nanofibrillated cellulose (NFC) and birch pulp derivate, nanofibrillated anionic dicarboxylic acid cellulose (DCC), having widths of fibres ranging from 19.0 μm to 25 nm as cellulose fibre materials.

Corn Cob Filled Chitosan Biocomposite Films
Advanced Materials Research, 2013Recently, there has been renews interest in chitosan as materials in producing of biocomposite films. The chitosan (CS)/corn cob (CC) biocomposite films were prepared by solvent casting method. The effect of CC content on tensile properties of CS/CC biocomposite films was studied. The tensile strength and elongation at break of CS/CC biocomposite films

Stable White Light‐Emitting Biocomposite Films
Advanced Functional Materials, 2018AbstractThe demonstration of reliable and stable white light‐emitting diodes (LEDs) is one of the main technological challenges of the LED industry. This is usually accomplished by incorporation of light‐emitting rare‐earth elements (REEs) compounds within an external polymeric coating of a blue LED allowing the generation of white light.

Preparation and characterization of chitosan/KSF biocomposite film
Polymer Composites, 2008Abstract Chitosan–clay biocomposites have been prepared in which KSF‐montmorillonite (KSF) is used as filler and diluted acetic acid is used as solvent for dissolving and dispersing chitosan and montmorillonite, respectively. The effect of KSF loadings in biocomposites has been investigated.

Biocomposite films synthesized at a fluid/fluid interface
Faraday Discussions, 2005In the synthesis of mesostructured particles and films, the cooperative self-organization of amphiphilic molecules in the presence of reactive species is a key factor in the reaction mechanism. This paper presents a method for preparing structured collagen films synthesized at fluid/fluid interfaces. This work is an extension of previous efforts in our

Facile preparation of a strong chitosan-silk biocomposite film
Carbohydrate Polymers, 2020Chitosan-silk biocomposite films with nanofibrous structures have been prepared by facile solution casting of chitosan and silk co-dissolved in formic acid. The morphology, structure and mechanical properties of the chitosan-silk biocomposite were characterized by SEM, FTIR, TG-DSC, and mechanical testing.

Properties of Sago Starch-Nanoclay Biocomposites Film
Advanced Materials Research, 2012This paper reported on properties of sago starch that was compounded with montmorillonite (MMT) nanoclay to form biodegradable composites film. The film was fabricated via film casting method with glycerol as a plasticizer. The investigated biocomposites film was prepared at starch-glycerol/MMT weight fraction of 90/10, 85/15, 80/20 and 75/25.
