Bioimpedance Analysis for the Characterization of Breast Cancer Cells in Suspension
IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, 2012The bioimpedance spectroscopy (BIS) technique is potentially a useful tool to differentiate malignancy based on the variation of electrical properties presented by different tissues and cells. The different tissues and cells present variant electrical resistance and reactance when excited at different frequencies.

Reference Values for Multifrequency Bioimpedance Analysis in Dialysis Patients
Blood Purification, 2004Background: The role of multifrequency bioimpedance (MF-BIA) in the assessment of fluid status in dialysis patients is still not fully elucidated. Especially, the predictive value of reference values for extracellular water (ECW) has not yet been addressed.

Modelling of Bioimpedance Measurements: Application to Sensitivity Analysis
2014A technology for high-resolution efficient numerical modeling of bioimpedance measurements is considered that includes 3D image segmentation, adaptive unstructured tetrahedral mesh generation, finite-element discretization, and the analysis of simulation data. The first-order convergence of the proposed numerical methods on a series of unmatched meshes

Liver Cancer Analysis Using Bioimpedance
2015In this work the impedance analysis is used in order to determinate differences between tumor and unaltered liver tissue. The electrical characterization of tissues at 10 to 200 KHz is obtained by the four electrode measurement method. The difference between the tissues is determined by phase angle measured at 50 KHz.
