Angewandte Chemie, EarlyView.Die Instabilität von Rutheniumkatalysatoren in wässrigen Lösungen schränkt die Olefinmetathese in biologischen Medien ein. Es wird über einen Ru(CAAC‐5)‐Komplex berichtet, der unter biologisch relevanten Bedingungen aktiv bleibt und die Biokonjugation mit Proteinen, Peptiden und einem künstlichen Metalloenzym ermöglicht.

Angewandte Chemie, EarlyView.Um eine räumlich‐zeitliche Kontrolle der PPARγ‐Aktivität zu ermöglichen, entwickelten wir den schnell relaxierenden photoschaltbaren Agonisten 6, der PPARγ selektiv in seinem lichtinduzierten Z‐Zustand aktiviert und innerhalb von Sekunden (t1/2 = 47 s) in den inaktiven E‐Zustand relaxiert.
