Polyphosphate Copper Nanospheres Drive Mitochondrial Metabolic Reprogramming via Calcium Phase Separation for Self‐Sensitizing Cuproptosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study developed polyphosphate (polyP)‐based nanostructures that enable calcium‐mediated metabolic reprogramming via liquid–liquid phase separation (LLPS). Released polyP undergoes LLPS with Ca2+, suppressing glycolytic flux and enhancing mitochondrial metabolism effectively.

Interfacial and Hydration‐Associated Lithium Retention During FePO4 Regeneration from Spent LiFePO4 Cathodes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
During iron phosphate regeneration, sequential washing distinguishes lithium fractions by accessibility: approximately 70% of precipitate‐associated lithium is washing‐removable, while approximately 30% remains after three cycles. Comparisons of simulated and practical systems associate retained lithium with hydrated amorphous Fe‐O‐P environments ...

Adaptive Cellular Responsiveness to Electrical Stimulation at the Skin‐Electrode Interface

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents an adaptive bioelectronic response in which sustained electrical stimulation (ES) upregulates voltage‐gated calcium channels (VGCCs) and enhances cellular sensitivity to subsequent ES at the skin‐device interface. VGCC‐associated adaptive sensitization promotes regenerative wound‐healing responses in vivo, including accelerated ...

Multifunctional Matrix‐Activated Electrodes Enabling Efficient Proton Transport and Durable Low‐Pt Operation for High‐Temperature Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces a CeHP‐enabled multifunctional matrix‐activated electrode (MME) for high‐temperature PEM fuel cells, forming an electrochemically and mechanically functional matrix within the catalyst layer. The design increases peak power density by 38% and reduces voltage decay by 62% at 240 °C, while using only 40% of the Pt loading of a ...

31P Solid‐State NMR‐Enabled Development of a Pt/Aluminum Tripolyphosphate Catalyst for Selective C─O Bond Hydrogenolysis of Phenols

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
31P solid‐state nuclear magnetic resonance analysis revealed the presence of aluminum tripolyphosphate on the surface of a platinum/aluminum condensed phosphate mixture (ACPM) catalyst. This finding led to the development of a Pt/aluminum tripolyphosphate (Pt/ATPP) catalyst for the selective hydrogenolysis of phenols to arenes.

Mechanistic Control of Cathode–Electrolyte Interphase Formation in Gel Polymer Electrolyte for Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
To regulate a distinct degradation pathway introduced by residual monomers in in‐situ gel polymer electrolytes (GPEs), tris(4‐fluorophenyl)phosphine (TFPP) is coupled with a voltage hold (VH) protocol. TFPP first covers the high‐Ni cathode surface and then preferentially decomposes during the hold step, forming a cathode–electrolyte interphase (CEI ...
