Systematic LC/MS/MS Investigations for the IND-Enabling Extended Characterization of Antibody–Drug Conjugate Modifications

open access: yesAntibodies, 2018
We hypothesized that systematic liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry investigations of an antibody⁻drug conjugate (ADC), its small and large molecular components, and surrogate small-molecule conjugates might comprise a simple and ...

Real‐world evidence on adherence, persistence, switching and dose escalation with biologics in adult inflammatory bowel disease in the United States: A systematic review

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Pharmacy and Therapeutics, 2019
The application of biologics to treat inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, is well established. Our aim was to characterize the most recent five years of data on rates of adherence, persistence, switching ...

Surfaceome: a new era in the discovery of immune evasion mechanisms of circulating tumor cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the era of immunotherapies, many patients either do not respond or eventually develop resistance. We propose to pave the way for proteomic analysis of surface‐expressed proteins called surfaceome, of circulating tumor cells. This approach seeks to identify immune evasion mechanisms and discover potential therapeutic targets. Circulating tumor cells (

Hepatic population derived from human pluripotent stem cells is effectively increased by selective removal of undifferentiated stem cells using YM155

open access: yesStem Cell Research & Therapy, 2017
Background Pluripotent stem cells (PSCs) such as embryonic stem cells and induced pluripotent stem cells are promising target cells for cell regenerative medicine together with recently advanced technology of in-vitro differentiation.

Clinical applications of next‐generation sequencing‐based ctDNA analyses in breast cancer: defining treatment targets and dynamic changes during disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a possibility for different applications in early and late stage breast cancer management. In early breast cancer tumor informed approaches are increasingly used for detecting molecular residual disease (MRD) and early recurrence. In advanced stage, ctDNA provides a possibility for monitoring disease progression and

Drugs for Autoimmune Inflammatory Diseases: From Small Molecule Compounds to Anti-TNF Biologics

open access: yesFrontiers in Pharmacology, 2017
Although initially described as an anti-tumor mediator, tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF) is generally considered as the master pro-inflammatory cytokine. It plays a crucial role in the pathogenesis of inflammatory diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis (

Circulating tumor cells in metastatic breast cancer patients treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors – a biomarker analysis of the ALICE and ICON trials

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative biomarker analysis, we assessed serial sampling of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) with CellSearch in two randomized trials testing immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in metastatic breast cancer. Our data demonstrate a prognostic potential of CTCs, most apparent 4 weeks into ICI therapy.
