XPC is an RNA polymerase II cofactor recruiting ATAC to promoters by interacting with E2F1
XPC plays an important role in the nuclear exicision repair pathways. Here the authors show that in addition, XPC plays a role in transcription regulation by interacting with KAT2A and E2F1 and recruiting the ATAC coactivator complex to promoters.

Effect of the microbiome on pathogen susceptibility across four Drosophilidae species
Four Drosophilidae species were used to investigate how variation in the host microbiome influences susceptibility to infection. Microbial composition and abundance differed among species and treatments. The effects of microbiome manipulation on host survival were both species‐ and pathogen‐specific.

Hi-D: nanoscale mapping of nuclear dynamics in single living cells
Bulk chromatin motion has not been analyzed at high resolution. We present Hi-D, a method to quantitatively map dynamics of chromatin and abundant nuclear proteins for every pixel simultaneously over the entire nucleus from fluorescence image series.

Quantitative analysis of DNA‐GATA1 binding alterations linked to hematopoietic disorders
Native holdup allows the quantitative determination of affinities between full‐length transcription factors and DNA. Mutations in either the protein or the DNA can modulate binding strength, which can be precisely quantified using this approach. Applied to GATA1, it revealed mutations that alter DNA binding.
