Copper Single‐Atom Decorated Microfibrous Catalysts for Continuous‐Flow Reduction of Nitroarenes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Herein, a Cu‐single‐atom decorated, microfibrous catalyst (Cu1/CMF) is fabricated for chemoselective reduction of nitroarenes, demonstrating a superior processing capacity of 1.92 mmol mgcat−1 h−1 and superior durability (≥ 25 cycles) in a continuous‐flow manner.

Self‐Reconstruction of Dual‐Morphology Copper‐Iron Selenides for Cost‐Effective Oxygen Evolution Toward Industrial Alkaline Water Splitting

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Departing from conventional Ni/Co‐based catalysts, this work presents a Ni/Co‐free CuFe–Se/CFF electrocatalyst with nanoblock–nanorod morphology. It delivers 1000 mA cm−2 at 330 mV overpotential and 620 h stability for the oxygen evolution reaction (OER).

Microneedle‐Based Biofertilizer Delivery Improves Plant Growth Through Microbiome Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This figure shows how microneedles are used to deliver biofertilizers to enhance plant growth through microbial migration, metabolic reprogramming, and changes in plant endogenous microbiome. Abstract This study presents a microneedle‐based system for the delivery of rhizospheric biofertilizers into plant tissues to enhance growth.

Status of the Pacific Mackerel resource during 1996 management recommendations for the fishery [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
The California fishery for Pacific mackerel (Scomber japonicus) has declined precipitously since 1990. Statewide landings during 1995 continued the downward trend, and totaled only 9,185 short tons.

Biobased Bionic Spider Silk via Electrostatic Complexation for Simultaneously Harvesting Atmospheric Water and Triboelectric Energy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Bio‐based bionic spider silk and spider web are first prepared using polyelectrolyte complexation technique for the simultaneous harvesting of water and triboelectric energy. The advantage of this process lies on entirely bio‐based materials, fully green water‐processable procedures, extremely high production rate (99.36%), excellent fog harvesting ...
