Bioplastics from Feather Quill
Biomacromolecules, 2011Poultry feather quills have been extruded in a twin screw extruder with sodium sulfite treatment as a reducing agent. The effect of four different plasticizers (ethylene glycol, propylene glycol, glycerol, and diethyl tartrate) on the thermoplastic properties was then investigated.

International Journal of Oral Surgery, 1978The influence of heat treatment (at 150 +/- 2 degrees C for 2 hours) on the antigenicity of human Bioplast fibrin powder and human fibrin Bioplast plates was tested in an experimental study. Untreated and heat-treated fibrin powder with incomplete Freund's adjuvant was subcutaneously injected in rabbits.
