Nanosensors in Leukemia Management: Pioneering Real‐Time Biomarker Detection for Precision Oncology

open access: yesNano Select, EarlyView.
This review highlights pioneering nanosensors designed for real‐time leukemia biomarker detection, integrating advanced nanomaterials such as liposomes, polymeric nanoparticles and quantum dots. It examines electrochemical, optical and magnetic detection mechanisms, the applications across AML, ALL, CML, and CLL subtypes, and clinical translation ...

Identification of actionable targets using DEPArray‐based sorting of pure carcinoma and stromal populations from formalin‐fixed paraffin‐embedded tissues followed by shallow whole‐genome sequencing

open access: yesThe Journal of Pathology, EarlyView.
Abstract Formalin‐fixed paraffin‐embedded (FFPE) tissue specimens represent precious resources for clinical genomic profiling studies, especially when coupled with comprehensive medical records. Even though next‐generation sequencing (NGS) is an effective tool to detect somatic mutations and somatic copy number alterations (sCNA), the biggest ...

Breast Findings in Females With Beckwith–Wiedemann Syndrome

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Beckwith–Wiedemann syndrome (BWS) is an overgrowth condition caused by epigenetic defects on chromosome 11p15. Children with BWS have a predisposition to embryonal tumors such as Wilms tumor and hepatoblastoma. However, few reports of breast tumors in females with BWS have been published and the risk of malignancy and need for screening ...

Management of Pediatric and Adolescent Rhabdomyosarcoma of the Chest Wall: An Expert Consensus Opinion From the International Soft Tissue Sarcoma Consortium (INSTRuCT)

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The International Soft‐Tissue Sarcoma Consortium (INSTRuCT) was established as a global partnership among various pediatric soft tissue sarcoma groups, including the Children's Oncology Group (COG), European Pediatric Soft Tissue Sarcoma Group (EpSSG), and Cooperative Weichteilsarkom Studiengruppe (CWS). One of INSTRuCT's primary objectives is

KANK1‐ALK, a rare ALK fusion in mucinous lung adenocarcinoma with primary resistance to ALK‐TKI treatment: A case report

open access: yesPrecision Medical Sciences, EarlyView.
Abstract Patients harboring rearrangements of anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) fusion may respond differently to ALK tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) depending on changes in the type of ALK rearrangements. We report the first documented case of KANK1‐ALK fusion in mucinous lung adenocarcinoma, co‐occurring with TP53 mutation.
