Sertraline‐Associated Riboflavin‐Responsive Lipid Storage Myopathy: Report of Two Case

open access: yesMuscle &Nerve, EarlyView.
Sertraline exposure can lead to an acquired riboflavin‐responsive multiple acyl‐CoA dehydrogenase deficiency (MADD). In patients with this acquired form of MADD, riboflavin supplementation can even lead to full clinical recovery and marked serological recovery before discontinuation of sertraline.

Sex‐Specific Subcutaneous Adipose Tissue Transcriptome in Obesity: Insights From Monozygotic Twin Pairs Discordant for BMI

open access: yesObesity, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective We investigated the impact of sex on the subcutaneous adipose tissue (AT) transcriptome and its obesity‐related adaptations. Methods We studied rare BMI‐discordant monozygotic twin pairs (ΔBMI > 2.5 kg/m2; 21 female, 16 male pairs) to assess how sex affects AT and whole‐body metabolism.

Breast Findings in Females With Beckwith–Wiedemann Syndrome

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Beckwith–Wiedemann syndrome (BWS) is an overgrowth condition caused by epigenetic defects on chromosome 11p15. Children with BWS have a predisposition to embryonal tumors such as Wilms tumor and hepatoblastoma. However, few reports of breast tumors in females with BWS have been published and the risk of malignancy and need for screening ...

Management of Pediatric and Adolescent Rhabdomyosarcoma of the Chest Wall: An Expert Consensus Opinion From the International Soft Tissue Sarcoma Consortium (INSTRuCT)

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The International Soft‐Tissue Sarcoma Consortium (INSTRuCT) was established as a global partnership among various pediatric soft tissue sarcoma groups, including the Children's Oncology Group (COG), European Pediatric Soft Tissue Sarcoma Group (EpSSG), and Cooperative Weichteilsarkom Studiengruppe (CWS). One of INSTRuCT's primary objectives is

Advances in the Diagnosis, Treatment, and Management of Liver Nodules: A Comprehensive Review

open access: yesPortal Hypertension &Cirrhosis, EarlyView.
Liver nodules commonly occur due to various causes, some of which are malignant or may undergo malignant transformation, leading to disease progression or delayed detection in clinical practice. The widespread use of imaging methods has increased the detection rate of liver nodules. Furthermore, precision medicine techniques and artificial intelligence

Diagnostic Value of Micro‐Ultrasound in Identifying Local Recurrence After Radical Prostatectomy

open access: yesThe Prostate, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose The limited resolution of standard transrectal ultrasound (TRUS) has made it difficult to perform biopsies of the prostate bed in cases of suspected local recurrence following radical prostatectomy. The aim of this study was to benchmark the performance of using high resolution micro‐ultrasound (microUS) in place of standard TRUS for ...

A Population Pharmacokinetic Approach to Understand the Effect of Efavirenz on CYP3A Activity in Healthy Volunteers Using Midazolam as a Probe

open access: yesCPT: Pharmacometrics &Systems Pharmacology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Efavirenz induces and inhibits multiple drug‐metabolizing enzymes, contributing to significant drug–drug interactions. This study quantified the impact of multiple doses of efavirenz on CYP3A activity via midazolam metabolism using a population pharmacokinetic approach.
