Harnessing cell aggregates for enhanced adeno‐associated virus manufacturing: Cultivation strategies and scale‐up considerations

open access: yesBiotechnology Progress, EarlyView.
Abstract The possibility to produce recombinant adeno‐associated virus (rAAV) by adherent HEK293T cells was studied in a stirred tank bioreactor (STR) culture of cell aggregates. A proof‐of‐concept of rAAV production was successfully demonstrated in a process where single cells were first expanded, then cell aggregates were formed by dilution into a ...

Characterization of biodegradable food packaging films prepared with polyamide 4: Influence of molecular weight and environmental humidity

open access: yesFood Bioengineering, Volume 1, Issue 3-4, Page 276-288, December 2022., 2022
Colorless and translucent polyamide 4 (PA4) films, which are both bio‐based and biodegradable, were prepared by the solution casting method in a dual‐solvent system. The physical properties of single PA4 films were originally characterized, and the effects of molecular weight and environmental humidity on PA4 were investigated. Abstract The development

Review on New Techniques in Tropane Alkaloids Production

open access: yesJournal of Medicinal Plants, 2010
Increasing from day to day tendency of human societies to plant based drug usage increased demand of secondary metabolite application. Although artificial production of these compounds greatly progressed, but the only way to achieve these fine medicinal ...

Characterization of large transgene integrations in Chinese hamster ovary cells using a bioengineered mammalian transposase

open access: yesBiotechnology Progress, EarlyView.
Abstract We present the first use of a bioengineered mammalian transposase system derived from Myotis lucifugus (bMLT) for integration of expression vectors into the CHO genome, focusing on GFP and trastuzumab production. Initially, CHO‐K1 cells are transfected with a GFP reporter and varying amounts of bMLT DNA or mRNA.

Lactiplantibacillus plantarum X7022 ameliorates loperamide‐induced constipation and modulates gut microbiota in mice

open access: yesFood Bioengineering, Volume 1, Issue 3-4, Page 252-263, December 2022., 2022
Lactiplantibacillus plantarum X7022 is a novel strain isolated from the traditional fermented stinky tofu brine. L. plantarum X7022 could alleviate constipation by improving defection indices. L. plantarum X7022 regulated gut microbiota dysbiosis in the two different constipation models.

Production of Biologically-Active Proteins in Plants

open access: yesJournal of Medicinal Plants, 2006
Plants as bioreactors are able to produce substances including proteins. In order to produce a protein, the corresponding gen is introduced into plant cells by two systems: stable genetic transformation and the use of viral vectors.
