Proximity biotinylation identifies a set of conformation-specific interactions between Merlin and cell junction proteins

open access: yesScience Signaling, 2019
The tumor suppressor Merlin interacts with cell junction–associated proteins and with the proapoptotic protein ASPP2. The Merlin interactome identifies cell junction proteins Merlin (also called NF2) is a tumor suppressor that associates with lipid rafts

18S and 25S Exonuclease Resistant Ribosomal RNA Molecules Are Produced by 5′‐End Modification During TOR Inhibition.

open access: yesYeast, EarlyView.
Saccharomyces cerevisiae produces exonuclease‐resistant rRNA molecules upon TOR inhibition. This phenomenon occurs when cells enter the diauxic phase, upon addition of rapamycin to the culture, or when TOR activity is reduced through deletion of the TOR1 gene.

Reversible Sandwich‐Based Particle Nanoswitch for Continuous Protein Monitoring at Picomolar Concentrations with Automated Calibration

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 137, Issue 51, December 15, 2025.
A reversible particle nanoswitch sensor enables continuous protein monitoring by forming transient sandwich complexes in the presence of analyte molecules. Site‐specific conjugations ensure optimal antibody fragment orientation. Demonstrated for lactoferrin, the sensor achieves picomolar sensitivity with ∼12 min time delay and continuous measurements ...

Biotinylation by antibody recognition - A method for proximity labeling

open access: yesNature Methods, 2017
The high-throughput detection of organelle composition and proteomic mapping of protein environment directly from primary tissue as well as the identification of interactors of insoluble proteins that form higher-order structures have remained challenges

Identification of MEF2A, MEF2C, and MEF2D interactomes in basal and Fsk‐stimulated mouse MA‐10 Leydig cells

open access: yesAndrology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Myocyte enhancer factor 2 transcription factors regulate essential transcriptional programs in various cell types. The activity of myocyte enhancer factor 2 factors is modulated through interactions with cofactors, chromatin remodelers, and other regulatory proteins, which are dependent on cell context and physiological state.

Two-dimensional crystals of streptavidin on biotinylated lipid layers and their interactions with biotinylated macromolecules

open access: yesBiophysical Journal, 1991
Streptavidin forms two-dimensional crystals when specifically bound to layers of biotinylated lipids at the air/water interface. The three-dimensional structure of streptavidin determined from the crystals by electron crystallography corresponds well with the structure determined by x-ray crystallography.

The importin‐alpha superfamily engages in ethylene signaling by shuttling ETHYLENE INSENSITIVE 2 from the endoplasmic reticulum to the nucleus

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
The plant hormone ethylene regulates plant growth, ripening, senescence, and stress responses. The hormonal signal transmission, from receptors at the ER membrane to the transcriptional regulators in the nucleus, is still not completely understood.
