Identification of 2,4‐Dinitro‐Biphenyl‐Based Compounds as MAPEG Inhibitors

open access: yesChemMedChem, 2022
AbstractWe identified 2,4‐dinitro‐biphenyl‐based compounds as new inhibitors of leukotriene C4 synthase (LTC4S) and 5‐lipoxygenase‐activating protein (FLAP), both members of the “Membrane Associated Proteins in Eicosanoid and Glutathione metabolism” (MAPEG) family involved in the biosynthesis of pro‐inflammatory eicosanoids.

Microbial Degradation Products from Biphenyl-related Compounds

open access: yesAgricultural and Biological Chemistry, 1986
A soil isolate, strain S93B1, identified as Pseudomonas cruciviae could grow on more than ten biphenyl-related compounds including p-chlorobiphenyl.Biphenyl was converted to benzoic acid and γ-benzoylbutylic acid. Mono-substituted biphenyl compounds such as o-bromobiphenyl, p-chlorobiphenyl, o-nitrobiphenyl and m-nitrobiphenyl were converted to o ...
