High atmospheric pressure rescues plant growth under humidity stress: A model for climate‐resilient deep underground agriculture

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
High atmospheric pressure (120 kPa) in deep underground counteracts humidity‐induced physiological stress in plants, stabilizing water balance and enhancing antioxidative defenses. This synergy boosts biomass despite elevated humidity, demonstrating sustainable deep underground agriculture potential under climate uncertainty.

Three-Dimensional Biplots

open access: yesBiometrika, 1990
The biplot of a two-way table is discussed as a diagnostic tool for investigating bilinear models with additive terms for rows and columns and at least one multiplicative term. The full biplot is three dimensional with the points representing row effects concentrated is a plane orthogonal to another plane containing the points representing the column ...

Potential of Bee Pollen as a Nutraceutical And/Or Functional Ingredient for Metabolic Syndrome Management: In Vitro Antioxidant, Anti‐Inflammatory, and Digestive Enzyme Inhibitory Activities

open access: yesFood Chemistry International, EarlyView.
Bee pollen samples from China and Spain exhibited in vitro antioxidant, anti‐inflammatory, and digestive enzyme inhibitory activities due to their composition, suggesting their potential as a nutraceutical or functional ingredient to help counteract oxidative stress, chronic inflammation, and metabolic disorders.

Morphogenetic responses of embryo culture of wheat related to environment culture conditions of the explant donor plant Respostas morfogenéticas de embriões de trigo em função do ambiente de cultivo da planta doadora de explantes

open access: yesScientia Agricola, 2010
Availability of immature embryos as explants to establish wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) by tissue culture can be limited by climatic factors and the lack of high quality embryos frequently hampers experimentation.

Biplots in Reduced‐Rank Regression

open access: yesBiometrical Journal, 1994
AbstractRegression problems with a number of related response variables are typically analyzed by separate multiple regressions. This paper shows how these regressions can be visualized jointly in a biplot based on reduced‐rank regression. Reduced‐rank regression combines multiple regression and principal components analysis and can therefore be ...

Quality of Spontaneous and Backslopped Fermented Cassava Flour From Different Cassava Landraces and Sensory Acceptability of the Cooked Dough

open access: yesFood Chemistry International, EarlyView.
The cooked Oko‐iyawo spontaneously fermented cassava flour's sensory acceptability was correlated with its amylose content, pH, pasting temperature, and water absorption capability. Cassava processors may be able to create consistently high‐quality fermented cassava flour for various end users with the use of the information provided in this study ...

Contribution biplots [PDF]

open access: yes
In order to interpret the biplot it is necessary to know which points – usually variables – are the ones that are important contributors to the solution, and this information is available separately as part of the biplot’s numerical results. We propose a

Metabolic Plasticity and Terpenoid Modulation in Zanthoxylum armatum Callus Cultures: Chemical Composition and Biotechnological Perspectives

open access: yesFlavour and Fragrance Journal, EarlyView.
Graphical abstract illustrating the metabolic dynamics and regulation of terpenoid production in Zanthoxylum armatum callus cultures. On the left, callus initiation and growth from explants are shown, followed by the establishment of suspension cultures.

Biplots of compositional data [PDF]

open access: yes
The singular value decomposition and its interpretation as a linear biplot has proved to be a powerful tool for analysing many forms of multivariate data. Here we adapt biplot methodology to the speciffic case of compositional data consisting of positive
