Physical and Numerical Modelling for Bipolar Charge Transport in Disorder Polyethylene Under High DC Voltage

open access: yesInternational Journal on Electrical Engineering and Informatics, 2010
This paper reports on validation of a numerical model for both transient and steady bipolar charge transport, trapping and recombination in polymeric insulators, such as low density polyethylene. The numerical model is based on the high precision Runge-Kutta method for determining mobile and trapped charge local density within the sample, during the ...

Self‐Powered Flexible Triboelectric‐Gated Ion‐Gel Transistor for Neuromorphic Tactile Sensing and Human Activity Recognition

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A fully flexible ion‐gel‐gated graphene‐channel transistor driven by a triboelectric nanogenerator enables self‐powered tactile sensing and synaptic learning. Mimicking spike‐rate‐dependent plasticity, the device exhibits frequency‐selective potentiation and depression, supporting rate‐coded neuromorphic computation even under flex.

Three-Dimensional Modeling of Bipolar Charge-Carrier Transport and Recombination in Disordered Organic Semiconductor Devices at Low Voltages

open access: yesPhysical Review Applied, 2018
The electroluminescence from organic light-emitting diodes can be predicted with molecular-scale resolution using three-dimensional kinetic Monte Carlo (3D KMC) simulations [M. Mesta et al., Nat. Mater. 12, 652 (2013)]. However, around and below the built-in voltage KMC simulations are computationally inefficient.

Investigation of current density, recombination rate and space charge density in polyethylene thin films based on bipolar charge transport model

open access: yesMaterials Research Express, 2019
Bipolar charge transport model has been widely used to simulate the behavior of space charge. In order to reduce the splitting error three-order flux limiter is adopted to solve the advection-reaction equations. The simulation results are compared with experimental results and simulation results of Le Roy et al, validating the feasibility of the ...
