On the Semi-Group Property of the Perpendicular Bisector in a Normed Space
Let (X,d) be a metric linear space and a∈X. The point a divides the space into three sets: Ha = {x ∈ X: d(0,x) < d(x,a)}, Ma = {x ∈ X: d(0,x) = d(x,a)} and La = {x ∈ X: d(0,x) > d(x,a)}. If the distance is generated by a norm, Ha is called the Leibnizian

Research on Determining Bony Landmarks for Accurate Tibiofibular Syndesmotic Fixation: Cadaveric Validity and Safety Analysis of Angle Bisector Method [PDF]
Category: Trauma; Ankle Introduction/Purpose: Syndesmosis fixation, a common procedure, is vital for restoring ankle biomechanics, but malreduction occurs in up to 52% of cases, necessitating precise anatomic reduction. While AO guidelines recommend a 20-

Tropical Bisectors and Voronoi Diagrams [PDF]
AbstractIn this paper we initiate the study of tropical Voronoi diagrams. We start out with investigating bisectors of finitely many points with respect to arbitrary polyhedral norms. For this more general scenario we show that bisectors of three points are homeomorphic to a non-empty open subset of Euclidean space, provided that certain degenerate ...

The existence of a triangle when its three elements are known
The problem of the existence of a triangle with respect to three given elements in some cases can be very difficult. For example, Brokard's problem about the existence of a triangle, given its three bisectors [1], has a long history [3] and solved only ...

Bisectors and Pinned Distances [PDF]
We prove, under suitable conditions, a lower bound on the number of pinned distances determined by small subsets of two-dimensional vector spaces over fields. For finite subsets of the Euclidean plane we prove an upper bound for their bisector energy.
