On bisectors in normed planes

open access: yesContributions to Discrete Mathematics, 2016
In this note, we completely describe the shape of the bisector of two given points in a two-dimensional normed vector space. More precisely, we show that, depending on the position of two given points with respect to the shape of the unit circle, the following holds: the bisector of a non-strict pair of points consists of two cones and a curve, which ...

On the insolubility of one drawing problem

open access: yesLietuvos Matematikos Rinkinys, 2015
It is shown in the article that, in general, it is not possible to draw a triangle using a compass and a straightedge given an angle, and a bisector and a median drawn from the vertex of another angle. It is shown in which particular cases a triangle can

Bisector Surfaces Through A Common Line of Curvatures and Its Classifications

open access: yesSakarya Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü Dergisi, 2018
In this paper, we study the Bisector surface, which definesthe line of curvature on a surface play an importance role. Firstly, theBisector surface constructed by a point and a space curve given in Euclidean3-space.

GBGVD: Growth-based geodesic Voronoi diagrams

open access: yesGraphical Models, 2023
Given a set of generators, the geodesic Voronoi diagram (GVD) defines how the base surface is decomposed into separate regions such that each generator dominates a region in terms of geodesic distance to the generators.

Bisectors of conics in isotropic plane

open access: yesRad Hrvatske akademije znanosti i umjetnosti. Matematičke znanosti, 2023
In this paper we introduce the concept of a bisector of two curves in an isotropic plane. We study the bisectors of conics and classify them according to their type of circularity. In general the bisector of conics is a quartic, while in the case when both conics are circular, its degree decreases.

PERFORMANCE OF FUZZY INFERENCE SYSTEMS TO PREDICT THE SURFACE TEMPERATURE OF BROILER CHICKENS [PDF]

open access: yesEngenharia Agrícola, 2018
This study aimed to compare fuzzy systems with different configurations to predict the surface temperature (ts) of broiler chickens subjected to different intensities and durations of thermal challenges in the second week of life.

Bisectors in the Heisenberg group I

open access: yes, 2022
We show that metric bisectors with respect to the Korányi metric in the Heisenberg group are spinal spheres and vice versa. We also calculate explicitly their horizontal mean curvature.
