Sodium bismuth titanate-based lead-free RAINBOW piezoelectric devices

Journal of the European Ceramic Society, 2017
Abstract The piezoelectric properties of lead-free piezoelectric ceramics are normally lower than those of lead oxide-based ceramics. In order to enhance the electromechanical performance of lead-free piezoelectric ceramics, an asymmetric chemical reduction was applied to sodium bismuth titanate (NBT)-based piezoelectric ceramics. Similar to the lead-

LOW TEMPERATURE HYDROTHERMAL SYNTHESIS OF BISMUTH SODIUM TITANATE NANOPOWDERS

International Journal of Nanoscience, 2005
Nanopowders bismuth sodium titanate ( Bi 0.5 Na 0.5 TiO 3, BNT ) were synthesized by the hydrothermal route at low temperature in the range of 150-200°C with different holding periods of 5-20 h. Bismuth nitrate, sodium nitrate and titanium (IV) isopropoxide were used as the starting materials.
