Hydrothermal Synthesis of Sodium and Potassium Bismuth Titanates
Chemistry of Materials, 2000A thermodynamic model of electrolyte solutions has been used as a tool for equilibrium calculations in the Na−Bi−Ti−H2O and K−Bi−Ti−H2O systems. To perform the calculations, unknown standard-state properties for Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3 (NBT), K0.5Bi0.5TiO3 (KBT) and other solid compounds that exist in these systems were established.

Sodium-bismuth titanate based lead-free ferroelectric materials
Journal of the European Ceramic Society, 2004Abstract In search of lead-free ferroelectric ceramics with improved properties, an investigation was carried out on barium and strontium-modified Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3 (NBT) ceramics. Many compositions among the Ba and Sr-modified ceramic materials exhibit diffuse phase transition and are characterised by a strong temperature and frequency dispersion of ...

Optical properties of sodium bismuth titanate thin films
Ferroelectrics, 2017ABSTRACTWe have investigated the optical and microwave dielectric properties of lead-free perovskite ferroelectric Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3 (NBT) thin films deposited on fused silica substrate using pulsed laser deposition at different substrate temperatures.

Electromechanical Characterization of Lanthanum Doped Sodium Bismuth Titanate Ceramics
Ferroelectrics, 2005The effect of lanthanum doping is studied on electromechanical properties of lanthanum doped sodium bismuth titanate. The ferroelectric system under investigation is Na1/2 (La x Bi 1−x )1/2 TiO3 ceramics, with x = 0, 0.1, 0.15 and 0.2. Dielectric and impedance studies have been carried out in the temperature region ranging from room temperature to 550 ...

Structural Optimization of Bismuth Sodium Titanate Thin Films
Ferroelectrics, 2015Lead-free ferroelectric oxide materials have attracted considerable attention from the environmental viewpoint. Among lead-free piezoelectric materials, bismuth sodium titanate (Bi0:5Na0:5TiO3) is considered to be one of the excellent candidates.

Phase transitions and soft modes in sodium bismuth titanate
Ferroelectrics, 1985Abstract The results of experimental studies of the crystal and domain structures of NaO, 5BiO, 5TiO3 as well as its lattice dynamics, dielectric, optical and other physical properties are considered. Nature of peculiar temperature points is discussed.

SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF LANTHANUM DOPED SODIUM BISMUTH TITANATE
Modern Physics Letters B, 2002Impedance spectroscopic studies on polycrystalline sintered discs of lanthanum doped Na 1/2( La x Bi 1-x)1/2 TiO 3 ceramics with x = 0, 0.1, 0.15 and 0.2, have been carried out in the temperature region ranging from room temperature to 550°C and in the frequency range of 100 Hz to 1 MHz. Impedance data is presented in frequency explicit plots and Cole–

Characteristics of yttrium substituted sodium bismuth titanate thin films
Materials Letters, 2010Abstract Sodium bismuth titanate (NBT) thin films substituted with yttrium for Na site were prepared by a modified sol–gel processing and their dielectric properties were investigated. The stability of perovskite structure was highly affected by the amount of Y substitution and the annealing temperatures. Y substituted NBT thin films post-annealed at

Superlattice in single crystal barium-doped sodium bismuth titanate
Journal of Physics and Chemistry of Solids, 2000Abstract Na 1/2 Bi 1/2 TiO 3 (NBT) doped with BaTiO 3 (BT) has recently shown promising piezoelectric properties in single crystal form. The piezoelectric properties appear to be highly dependent on BT concentration, with compositions close to the morphotropic phase boundary (∼6% BT) having the highest piezoelectric coefficients.
