High Free‐Volume Imidazole‐Based Ionomers for High‐Temperature Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
High free‐volume imidazole‐based ionomers (PF4IM‐72) enable enhanced phosphoric acid uptake and efficient proton transport, delivering peak power densities of 0.645 W cm−2 at 160 °C and 0.838 W cm−2 at 200 °C in HT‐PEMFCs. This work highlights a promising platform for next‐generation ionomers with improved high‐temperature performance and stability ...

Synergistic Enhancement of Electrical‐Thermal Properties in KH550/G‐POSS Functionalized BN/Epoxy Composites for High‐Frequency Transformer Insulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A BN@G‐POSS/EP nanocomposite is developed for high‐frequency transformer insulation in power electronic transformers. Through synergistic interface engineering, it simultaneously enhances thermal conductivity, reduces viscosity, and improves electro‐thermal stability.

An exploratory study on exposure to bisphenol A analogues and breast cancer risk

open access: yesEnvironment International
Endocrine disrupting compounds (EDCs) such as Bisphenol A (BPA) and its structural analogues are widely used in consumer products and have raised concerns due to their potential to disrupt hormonal balances and promote carcinogenic processes.

Determination of bisphenol-type endocrine disrupting compounds in food-contact recycled-paper materials by focused ultrasonic solid-liquid extraction and ultra performance liquid chromatography-high resolution mass spectrometry

open access: yes, 2012
Focused ultrasonic solid-liquid extraction (FUSLE) and reverse-phase ultra performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) coupled to a quadrupole-time of flight mass spectrometer (Q-TOF-MS) was applied to the determination of bisphenol-type endocrine ...

Interfacial Proton‐Relay Microenvironment Enables Self‐Driven Singlet Oxygen Generation under Neutral Conditions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An interfacial proton‐relay microenvironment at MoS2‐CuCl heterostructures enables selective O2 activation to 1O2 under neutral conditions. Electron‐deficient sulfur sites mediate proton transfer to Cu‐bound O2, accelerating *OOH hydrogenation while suppressing O─O bond cleavage, achieving stable, efficient pollutant removal.

Comparison of the toxicokinetics of daidzein and bisphenol A in pregnant and non-pregnant DA/Han rats [PDF]

open access: yes
Potentially adverse human and environmental effects due to hormone mimicry of environmental estrogens are a matter of current concern. Environmental estrogens belong to the socalled endocrine active compounds (EAC) and may alter signalling processes of ...

Bisphenols: Endocrine Disruptors and Their Impact on Fish: A Review

open access: yesFishes
Bisphenols (BPs), particularly bisphenol A (BPA) and its structural analogues, are synthetic compounds widely used in plastics and industrial materials. These substances are also recognised as endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) due to their ability to

Profiling Volatile Constituents of Homemade Preserved Foods Prepared in Early 1950s South Dakota (USA) Using Solid-Phase Microextraction (SPME) with Gas Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) Determination

open access: yesMolecules, 2019
An essential dimension of food tasting (i.e., flavor) is olfactory stimulation by volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emitted therefrom. Here, we developed a novel analytical method based on solid-phase microextraction (SPME) sampling in argon-filled gas ...
