Crystal structures and isometricity comparison of methylated bisphenol F derivatives

open access: yes, 2014
The syntheses and X-ray structures of three methylated bisphenol F derivatives and one respective analogue are reported. A special emphasis lies on the influence of methyl groups on the conformation of the common diphenylmethane scaffold.

Enhanced sensitive detection of bisphenol F via an electrode with dual-layered modification of carbon nanocages and Prussian blue nanocubes

open access: yesEcotoxicology and Environmental Safety
An electrochemical sensor demonstrating exceptional sensitivity was constructed for bisphenol F analysis. Carbon nanocages and Prussian blue nanocubes were synthesized and then applied to modify a glassy carbon electrode layer by layer, creating the ...

Research Progress on the Effects of Bisphenol Compounds on Human Beings and Animals

open access: yesShipin gongye ke-ji, 2023
Bisphenol compounds (BPs) are one of the most significant raw materials, used in synthesizing high polymer materials. At present, common BPs mainly include bisphenol A, bisphenol B, bisphenol F, bisphenol AF and so on.

Bisphenol F and bisphenol S promote lipid accumulation and adipogenesis in human adipose-derived stem cells.

open access: yes, 2021
Bisphenol F (BPF) and bisphenol S (BPS) are increasingly used as substitutes for bisphenol A (BPA), an endocrine disrupting chemical (EDC) with obesogenic activity.

Exposure of Slovenian children and adolescents to bisphenols, parabens and triclosan: Urinary levels, exposure patterns, determinants of exposure and susceptibility

open access: yesEnvironment International, 2021
Chemicals such as bisphenols, parabens and triclosan are endocrine disrupting chemicals. They are used in a wide variety of consumer products, making human exposure to those chemicals widespread. In the present study, levels of three bisphenols (bisphenol

Quantitative proteomic analysis reveals different characteristics of bladder cancer cells after exposure to bisphenol A

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Bisphenol A (BPA), a common chemical in plastics, exerts dual effects on bladder cancer cells: low doses promote growth and migration, while high doses suppress growth and migration. Multi‐omics and bioinformatics reveal BPA acts via MAPK and inflammatory pathways.

Exposure to Bisphenol a Substitutes and Gestational Diabetes Mellitus: A Prospective Cohort Study in China

open access: yesFrontiers in Endocrinology, 2019
Background: The association of bisphenol A (BPA) and gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) has been investigated in only a small number of studies, and research on the associations between BPA substitutes and GDM is scarce. Objective: We aimed to ...

Associations between urinary bisphenol A and its analogues and semen quality: A cross-sectional study among Chinese men from an infertility clinic

open access: yesEnvironment International, 2022
Human studies on association between bisphenol A (BPA) exposure and semen quality, mostly based on single urinary measurement, are inconsistent. There is limited human evidence on BPA analogues such as bisphenol F (BPF) and bisphenol S (BPS), and little ...

Effect of bisphenol F, an analog of bisphenol A, on the reproductive functions of male rats [PDF]

open access: yesEnvironmental Health and Preventive Medicine, 2019
Bisphenol A (BPA) is a monomer primarily used in the production of polycarbonate plastic and epoxy resins. Bisphenol F (BPF) is apparently the main BPA replacement that is used increasingly. BPF has been detected in canned food, thermal paper receipts, and soft drinks.

Compatibility of Methacrylate Based Resins Controls Interfacial Failure and Toughness in 3D‐Printed Multimaterial Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This work shows that the mechanical performance of multimaterial digital light processing (DLP) printed thermoset composites is governed by resin compatibility and interfacial design rather than spatial patterning alone. Brittle and ductile resin combinations produced premature interfacial failure, while graded interfaces and mechanically compatible ...
