Contact Dermatitis, EarlyView.A case series of eight patients with allergic otitis externa from contact allergy to hearing aid ear moulds is presented. All were patch test positive to tetrahydrofurfuryl methacrylate and three to isobornyl acrylate. It is postulated that these are likely relevant allergens present in such devices. Patch Test Results With Dental Series: An 18‐Year Retrospective Study
Contact Dermatitis, EarlyView.Patch testing with dental series is recommended for patients with oral symptoms and/or a history of allergic contact dermatitis ‐ particularly before dental procedures. Routine pre‐implantation patch testing should be considered only on an individual basis rather than as a standard practice.
