Block Markov superposition transmission over turbulence channels in outdoor optical wireless communication

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2017
Based on the equivalent genie-aided system, the bit-error rate of the block Markov superposition transmission system was analyzed and the union bound of the bit-error rate of the genie-aided system was derived. When the bit-error rate was extremely low at ...

Low Bit‐Flip Rate Probabilistic Error Cancellation

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies
Abstract Noise remains one of the most significant challenges in the development of reliable and scalable quantum processors. While quantum error correction and mitigation techniques offer potential solutions, they are often limited by the substantial overhead required.

Analyzing Electronic Excitations and Exciton Binding Energies in Y6 Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The Y6 molecule is used for increasing the efficiency of organic solar cells. The exciton binding energy is calculated for ensembles of Y6 molecules that are representative of the typically used films. The calculations show that the excitons typically spread out over many molecules.

Lipid Nanoparticles for the Delivery of CRISPR/Cas9 Machinery to Enable Site‐Specific Integration of CFTR and Mutation‐Agnostic Disease Rescue

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) are optimized to co‐deliver Cas9‐encoding messenger RNA (mRNA), a single guide RNA (sgRNA) targeting the endogenous cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) gene, and homologous linear double‐stranded donor DNA (ldsDNA) templates encoding CFTR.

Accurate Bit Error Rate Calculation for Asynchronous Chaos-Based DS-CDMA over Multipath Channel

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2009
An accurate approach to compute the bit error rate expression for multiuser chaosbased DS-CDMA system is presented in this paper. For more realistic communication system a slow fading multipath channel is considered.

All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

Co-channel Interference Effects on the Bit Error Rate of Spatial Multiplexing Systems

open access: yesACI Avances en Ciencias e Ingenierías, 2015
In this paper, the performance of spatial multiplexing (SM) system is investigated in a Rayleigh fading channel limited by co-channel interference (CCI). At first, an expression of the mean bit error rate (BER) for SM system with BPSK and QPSK modulation

Bit error rate estimation for turbo decoding

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Communications, 2003
In this paper we propose a method for on-line estimation of bit error rate during turbo decoding. We model the log-likelihood ratios as a mixture of two Gaussian random variables and derive estimators for the mean and variance of these distributions based on a maximum-likelihood approach. The parameter estimates are then employed to calculate the cross-
