Bit-error-rate (BER) performance in dispersion code multiple access (DCMA)

open access: closed2015 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation & USNC/URSI National Radio Science Meeting, 2015
The bit-error-rate (BER) performance of a 5 × 5 dispersion code multiple access system (DCMA) is numerically investigated assuming Chebyshev dispersion group delay coding. It is found that odd Chebyshev coding features lower BER than even Chevyshev coding between dispersion matched pairs within the DCMA system.

Atmospheric turbulence and numerical evaluation of bit error rate (BER) in free-space communication

Optics and Laser Technology, 2010
Bit error rate (BER) is an important parameter in free-space optical (FSO) communication. This paper presents the numerical evaluation of BER by studying the propagation of an initial Gaussian laser beam through turbulent atmosphere. Beam scintillation, spreading and wandering were considered as the atmospheric turbulent effects on the laser beam ...

Bit Error Rate (BER) performance analysis of an optical fiber communication system with a Multi-core fiber (MCF)

2015 International Conference on Electrical & Electronic Engineering (ICEEE), 2015
An analytical approach is presented to evaluate the Bit Error Rate (BER) performance of a multicore fiber (MCF) communication system with On-Off Keying (OOK) modulation scheme. The expressions of the signal power at the output of the different cores of the MCF with excitation to any one of the cores is found out along with the crosstalk due to coupling

The Use of Reverberating Chambers to Influence the BER (Bit Error Rate) in Simulating Multipath Connections

open access: closedEMC Europe 2006 Barcelona, International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility, 2006
Telecommunication Systems currently in operation make use of multiple connection in order to enhance the service reliability and to reduce electromagnetic field levels. Connection is handled by coded signals, in often unstable multipath condition, and, in some case, by smart and/or multitasking antennas.

Bit Error Rate (BER) improvement of Multiple Input Multiple Output Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM) system using bit level scrambling

open access: closed2015 Annual IEEE India Conference (INDICON), 2015
The work in the field of wireless communication these days is directed towards the efficient usage of the available spectrum as the spectrum scarcity keeps haunting people in general and communication engineers in particular. This puts an upper limit on the development of new spectrum hungry applications.
