Modeling of DDR5 signaling from jitter sequences to accurate bit error rate (BER)

2017 IEEE 26th Conference on Electrical Performance of Electronic Packaging and Systems (EPEPS), 2017
Intel's signal integrity (SI) analysis for memory in the server segment has neither considered correlated jitter nor handled jitter amplification over channel when performing fast analytical signaling analyses. This inaccuracy is no longer feasible with the intended data rates of DDR5.

The sensitivity of bit error rate (BER) performance in multi-carrier (OFDM) and single-carrier

SPIE Proceedings, 2012
Recently, the single-carrier and multi-carrier transmissions have grabbed the attention of industrial systems. Theoretically, OFDM as a Multicarrier has more advantages over the Single-Carrier especially for high data rate. In this paper we will show which one of the two techniques outperforms the other.

Bit Error Rate (BER) analysis of Discrete Fractional Fourier Transform (DFrFT) based OFDM systems

2017 IEEE 8th Annual Ubiquitous Computing, Electronics and Mobile Communication Conference (UEMCON), 2017
This paper investigates the performance of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex (OFDM) system by integrating the Discrete Fractional Fourier Transform (DFrFT). Here the total number of OFDM subcarriers are 64 where 48 of them are data carriers, and bandwidth allocated to OFDM is 20 MHz.

Analysis of handoff algorithms using both bit error rate (BER) and relative signal strength

Proceedings of 1994 3rd IEEE International Conference on Universal Personal Communications, 2002
Analyzes the performance of handoff algorithms using both bit error rate and relative signal strength measurements. This extends the analysis carried out previously where only signal strength measurements are used. The algorithm considered performs a handoff if the relative signal strength of the new base station exceeds the signal strength from the ...

Evaluation of Bit Error Rate (BER) in WLAN IEEE 802.11a with radio over fiber (RoF) downlink system

8th International Conference on High-capacity Optical Networks and Emerging Technologies, 2011
In this paper, the system suggested for improvement of Bit Error Rate (BER) in WLAN IEEE 802.11a with Radio over Fiber (RoF) technology in downlink system to increase reliability of the system and to make it flexible and satisfy the future requirements.

Raw bit error rate (BER) measurements of a fully populated optical code division multiple access (CDMA) system

Proceedings of LEOS'94, 2002
Optical CDMA is one of the few multiple access concepts which permit concurrent, non-blocking virtual channels. However, conventional approaches with linear codes induce stringent device requirements which stem from the bandwidth inefficiency, also denoted as the time penalty, of CDMA.

Bit Error Rate (BER) Performance Enhancement for Wireless Communication System Using Modified Turbo Codes

2017
In wireless communication, turbo and modified turbo codes are used as forward error correction (FEC) codes to improve the performance of the system in terms of bit error rate (BER). This work revisits the FEC using conventional turbo codes and proposes few modifications in them to obtain modified turbo codes.
