The study of the trematodes of the family Notocotylidae Lühe, 1909, is continued using an integrated approach based on new data. A new genus, Pseudonotocotylus n. gen., has been identified, and two species new to science, Notocotylus multipapillus n. sp. and Pseudonotocotylus martynenkoi n. sp., have been discovered.

Trematodes from 11 families have dixenic life cycles. Primary dixenic life cycles are typical for trematodes families Notocotylidae and Psilostomidae. Secondary dixenic life cycles have 3 versions.

BITHYNIA SHAPKAREVI N.SP., A NEW SPECIES FROM PRESPA LAKE, R. MACEDONIA (GASTROPODA: BITHYNIIDAE)
From Macedonia only Bithynia prespensis Hadžišče, 1963 is known so far. Recent investigations in Prespa Lake revealed a new Bithynia species, Bithynia shapkarevi n. sp. which is described here. Holotype and a paratype in addition to the penis morphology are depicted. The new Bithynia species has been compared with all known Bithynia spp.
