Molecular genetic identification of Opisthorchiidae cercariae from Bithyniidae snails of Chany Lake (South-Western Siberia, Russia)

open access: yes, 2022
Abstract The studies of the opisthorchiids larval stages associated with Вithyniidae snails can provide the important and the most reliable data for opisthorchiidoses foci characterization due to the least mobility of the snails among opisthorchiids host species.

Respiration rates in bithynia tentaculata (l.) (gastropoda: bithyniidae) in response to acclimation temperature and acute temperature change [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Molluscan Studies, 2005
The aerobic metabolic rate of the freshwater prosobranch Bithynia tentaculata (L.) was measured as the rate of oxygen consumption by groups of snails acclimated to temperatures of 128C, 188C and 248C. Responses to acute temperature alteration were also monitored. The results revealed that metabolic rate is essentially independent of ambient temperature:

A new species of the family Bithyniidae (Gastropoda: Littorinimorpha) from Russia, with re-marks on some genera of this family

open access: yesRuthenica, Russian Malacological Journal
A new species of the bythiniid snails, Opisthorchophorus confusus Andreeva sp. nov., is described based on molecular and morphological data. A COI phylogeny inferred on the material of newly obtained sequences and those accessible through the GenBank has releaved the species distinctness of O. confusus sp. nov.

Исследование влияния паводков и некоторых биотических факторов на распространение моллюсков семейства Bithyniidae

open access: yesBiosfera, 2019
