Metabolome Diversity Enhances Resistance of Intertidal Clams to Thermal Stress
Meretrix species are widely distributed intertidal bivalves in China with significant ecological and economic importance, which are sensitive to thermal stress. Our results showed that thermal environments of clam habitats shaped metabolome diversity, which can enhance the resistance of intertidal clams to thermal stress.

On the Sterols of Mollusks, Snails and Bivalves
The compositions of sterols of snails and bivalves were determined. In this study, six species of marine snails, two species of fresh-water snails, two species of marine bivalves, fresh-water and brackish-water bivalve were examined. The unsaponifiable matter was acetylated and separated in to several fractions by silver nitrateimpregnated silicic acid ...

ABSTRACT Pinctada margaritifera (black‐lipped pearl oyster) artefacts are ubiquitous in the archaeological record throughout the Pacific and particularly in Polynesia. Despite efforts towards the development of typologies, the lack of microwear and use‐wear studies has prevented the development of technological approaches. We used 20 pearl shell valves

Glacially overdeepened valleys in the northern Alpine Foreland preserve Middle to Late Pleistocene sedimentary sequences that may serve as valuable archives for reconstructing past environmental changes in response to shifts in climate. This study presents a multidisciplinary analysis of two sediment cores from the overdeepened Wehntal Valley at ...

Abstract Targeted enrichment of ultraconserved elements (UCEs) is a powerful tool for resolving phylogeny in groups with limited morphological or molecular data. Here, we use UCEs to reconstruct the first comprehensive phylogeny of the chiton superfamily Cryptoplacoidea, including museum material up to 133 years old.
