Kantorovich-Schurer bivariate operators [PDF]

open access: yesMiskolc Mathematical Notes, 2004
Summary: Let \(p,q\) be two non-negative given integers. The sequence \((\tilde{K}_{m,n,p,q})_{m,n\in N}\), \(\tilde{K}_{m,n,p,q}:L_1([0,1]\times [0,1])\to C([0,1]\times[0,1])\), \[ \left(\tilde{K}_{m,n,p,q} f\right)(x,y) \] \[ = (m+p+1)(n+p+1)\times \sum\nolimits^{m+p}_{k=0}\sum\nolimits^{n+q}_{j=0} \tilde{p}_{m,k}(x)\tilde{p}_{n j}(y)\int\nolimits ...

The approximation of bivariate functions by bivariate operators and GBS operators

open access: yesJournal of Numerical Analysis and Approximation Theory, 2011
In this paper we demonstrate a general approximation theorem for the bivariate functions by bivariate operators and GBS (Generalized Boolean Sum) operators.

Solving Dynamic Discrete Choice Models Using Smoothing and Sieve Methods [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
We propose to combine smoothing, simulations and sieve approximations to solve for either the integrated or expected value function in a general class of dynamic discrete choice (DDC) models.

Bivariate Bannai-Ito polynomials

open access: yes, 2018
A two-variable extension of the Bannai-Ito polynomials is presented. They are obtained via $q\to-1$ limits of the bivariate $q$-Racah and Askey-Wilson orthogonal polynomials introduced by Gasper and Rahman. Their orthogonality relation is obtained. These

A superintegrable discrete oscillator and two-variable Meixner polynomials

open access: yes, 2015
A superintegrable, discrete model of the quantum isotropic oscillator in two-dimensions is introduced. The system is defined on the regular, infinite-dimensional $\mathbb{N}\times \mathbb{N}$ lattice.

β‐Adrenergic Signaling Promotes Anti‐Tumor Immunity in TP53‐mutant Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
β‐adrenergic stimulation enhances anti‐tumor immunity in TP53‐deficient oral squamous cell carcinoma by inducing tumor‐derived secretion of CXCL10, which attracts and activates cytotoxic CD8+ T cells. The findings demonstrate that β‐adrenergic signaling alters tumor–immune interactions via CXCL10‐mediated paracrine activation, revealing a neuro‐immune ...

Bivariate $t$-distribution for transition matrix elements in Breit-Wigner to Gaussian domains of interacting particle systems

open access: yes, 2005
Interacting many-particle systems with a mean-field one body part plus a chaos generating random two-body interaction having strength $\lambda$, exhibit Poisson to GOE and Breit-Wigner (BW) to Gaussian transitions in level fluctuations and strength ...

Bivariate Linear Operator Codes

open access: yes2025 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory (ISIT)
In this work, we present a generalization of the linear operator family of codes that captures more codes that achieve list decoding capacity. Linear operator (LO) codes were introduced by Bhandari, Harsha, Kumar, and Sudan [BHKS24] as a way to capture capacity-achieving codes. In their framework, a code is specified by a collection of linear operators

Physics‐Constrained Constitutive Learning of Rate‐Limiting Timescales for Efficient Hydrogen‐Based Direct Reduction for Green Steel Making

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A conversion‐resolved constitutive framework is developed for the hydrogen‐based direct reduction of iron oxide pellets. Effective reaction and transport timescales are inferred directly from measured trajectories and mapped against operating conditions, pellet architecture, and composition. The analysis reveals how late‐stage transport control emerges

Lattice Green Functions: the d-dimensional face-centred cubic lattice, d=8, 9, 10, 11, 12

open access: yes, 2016
We previously reported on a recursive method to generate the expansion of the lattice Green function of the $d$-dimensional face-centred cubic lattice (fcc).
