Bixa orellana é uma planta nativa do Brasil, conhecida popularmente como urucum. O objetivo desse estudo foi extrair o óleo das sementes de B. orellana e, a partir dele, isolar e identificar o tocotrienol e quantificar seus ácidos graxos.
