Appearances of pseudo-bosons from Black-Scholes equation
It is a well known fact that the Black-Scholes equation admits an alternative representation as a Schr\"odinger equation expressed in terms of a non self-adjoint hamiltonian. We show how {\em pseudo-bosons}, linear or not, naturally arise in this context,

Specification Tests for Jump‐Diffusion Models Based on the Characteristic Function
Summary Goodness‐of‐fit tests are suggested for several popular jump‐diffusion processes. The suggested test statistics utilise the marginal characteristic function of the model and its L2‐type discrepancy from an empirical counterpart. Model parameters are estimated either by minimising the aforementioned L2‐type discrepancy or by maximum likelihood ...

CEO Narcissism and Related Party Transactions
ABSTRACT We examine the association between CEO narcissism and the likelihood of engaging in related party transactions (RPTs) and its influence on the value implications of these transactions. Furthermore, we investigate the effect of board monitoring on the relationship between CEO narcissism and the value effects of RPTs. We find that CEO narcissism

An adaptive moving mesh method for a time-fractional Black–Scholes equation
In this paper we study the numerical method for a time-fractional Black–Scholes equation, which is used for option pricing. The solution of the fractional-order differential equation may be singular near certain domain boundaries, which leads to ...

Optimal hedging of Derivatives with transaction costs
We investigate the optimal strategy over a finite time horizon for a portfolio of stock and bond and a derivative in an multiplicative Markovian market model with transaction costs (friction).

Why do firms strategically delay payments of corporate loans?
Abstract Firms may prefer to delay some loan payments while continuing to service others because of lender and loan characteristics. I explore the impact of bank‐level and bank‐firm‐level indicators on the strategic delay behaviors of nonfinancial corporations. Three factors play a key role in their strategic delay decisions.

Long memory stochastic volatility in option pricing
The aim of this paper is to present a simple stochastic model that accounts for the effects of a long-memory in volatility on option pricing. The starting point is the stochastic Black-Scholes equation involving volatility with long-range dependence.

Why Have CEO Pay Levels Become Less Diverse?
ABSTRACT This paper documents a new stylized fact: the cross‐sectional variation in CEO pay levels has declined precipitously in recent years. We offer one explanation for this decline, namely, firms are increasingly benchmarking CEO compensation to industry peers closest in size, thereby creating pay clusters.

Numerický model oceňování evropské kupní opce [PDF]
In this paper a mathematical model of European call options prizing is presented. This model is based on reduced Black-Scholes partial differential equation, discretized employing the finite difference method. The results of this model and of the exact
