Differences in mycelial turnover and persistence of wood‐decay fungi at the microscale
Summary How long do fungal hyphae persist in the environment? And how does this differ between groups and species of fungi? Despite growing knowledge of fungal contributions to decomposition and soil carbon cycles, surprisingly little is known about the turnover of mycelia: What happens to fungal hyphae over time? And how this impacts different fungi's

Summary Forest health is critical for sustaining ecosystem services like carbon sequestration. Heart rot, a widespread disease in upland northern hardwood forests, may affect greenhouse gas (CO2 and CH4) fluxes, but its impacts remain poorly measured. Using non‐destructive tomography and direct gas flux measurements, we quantified the effects of heart ...

Abstract At elevated electron temperature (Te≥3000°K ${T}_{e}\mathit{\ge }3000\mathit{{}^{\circ}}\mathrm{K}$) inside Sub‐Auroral Ion Drift, resonant vibrational excitation (RVE) increases the vibrationally excited (v≥8 $v\mathit{\ge }8$) nitric oxide (NO) population in the E‐region, which undergoes overtone vibrational emissions (Δv≥8 ${\Delta }v ...

Spring Black Rot-Resistant Cabbage Cultivar Evaluation
Fourteen green fresh-market cabbage cultivars were evaluated at the University of Kentucky horticultural farm in Lexington in a replicated trial to evaluate their performance in Central Kentucky. Cultivars were listed in seed catalogs as having black rot (Xanthomonas campestris) resistance or tolerance.
