Recycling Ni‐Rich NCM Cathode Materials From Spent Li‐Ion Batteries as Efficient Electrocatalyst for Urea Oxidation

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 6, November 2026.
Mounting battery waste demands sustainable solutions. We recycle spent NCM cathodes into high‐performance urea oxidation catalysts, enabling sustainable hydrogen production and simultaneous urea waste treatment. The burgeoning electric vehicle industry has intensified the demand for high‐energy Ni‐Co‐Mn (NCM) cathodes, yet their end‐of‐life management ...

Collocated Geotechnical and Geophysical Test Dataset at Three Sites in Napier, New Zealand

open access: yesEarthquake Spectra, Volume 42, Issue 4, November 2026.
Reliable assessment of liquefaction hazard, particularly in the context of groundwater fluctuations associated with hydroclimatic changes and variability between liquefaction assessment methods, necessitates supplementary data and advanced site characterization methods.

View Order With Arbitrary Center Echoes

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 96, Issue 5, Page 2127-2139, November 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose To provide explicit, vendor‐independent view‐order constructions that enable selection of an arbitrary center echo in multi‐shot imaging, with a focus on RARE and MPRAGE. Methods Vendor‐independent view‐order methods were developed to assign echo and shot indices to a prescribed set of phase encodes, enabling explicit selection of the ...

Corneal Sequestration and Bilateral Distichiasis in a Binturong (Arctictis binturong)

open access: yesVeterinary Ophthalmology, Volume 29, Issue 6, November 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective To report the first documented case of corneal sequestration and distichiasis in a binturong (Arctictis binturong), discuss implications of disease prevalence in a non‐domestic feliform, and hypothesize on potential etiology and predisposing factors for corneal sequestration.

Detection of a Blade Crack in Bladed Disks: Methodology and Validation

open access: yes, 2014
In turbomachinery, blade crack detection methods are beneficial for condition-based maintenance and for reducing the risk of catastrophic failures due to high cycle fatigue of bladed disks. A crack can be more easily detected in a perfectly tuned bladed disk (i.e., with identical blades and sectors). That is because the crack causes mode distortion and

Forced response of rotating bladed disks: Blade Tip-Timing measurements [PDF]

open access: yesMechanical Systems and Signal Processing, 2017
The Blade Tip-Timing is a well-known non-contact measurement technique currently employed for the identification of the dynamic behaviours of rotating bladed disks.

VIBRATION OF CIRCULAR BLADED DISK WITH IMPERFECTIONS

International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2011
The steady state response of a model of circular bladed disk with imperfection is investigated. Disk imperfection results from additional two groups of damping heads fixed on opposite ends of one diameter. These damping heads are introduced into the computing model as additional point mass, damping and stiffness.

Identification of the Maximum Responding Blade in Mistuned Bladed Disks

Volume 4: Turbo Expo 2003, 2003
This paper focuses on the identification/prediction of the blade exhibiting the largest response in mistuned bladed disks. This information is very important in experimental/testing efforts as it permits the most effective positioning of a few gages to capture the maximum response on the disk.

Vibration Localization Analysis of Bladed Disk with Grouped Blades

Advanced Materials Research, 2010
Vibration localization of bladed disk turns to be much complex when a number of blades are assembled into periodic groups. This work focused on natural frequency distribution and modal localization of bladed disks with grouped blades based on the lumped parameter models, and effects of the blade number in each group on natural frequency were studied ...
