Leaf Eh and pH: A Novel Indicator of Plant Stress. Spatial, Temporal and Genotypic Variability in Rice (Oryza sativa L.) [PDF]
A wealth of knowledge has been published in the last decade on redox regulations in plants. However, these works remained largely at cellular and organelle levels. Simple indicators of oxidative stress at the plant level are still missing. We developed a

Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Biochemical Studies on the Rice Blast Disease
The rice blast fungus was cultivated on the medium containing glutamic acid as the sole source of carbon and nitrogen. The fungus grew well on that medium. The maximum yield of the mycelium per gram atom of carbon was 87per cent to that of the one grown on the medium containing sucrose and nitrate.

NKCC1: A key regulator of glioblastoma progression
Glioblastoma (GBM) progression is driven by disrupted chloride cotransporter homeostasis. NKCC1 is highly expressed in stem‐like, astrocytic, and progenitor cells, correlating with earlier recurrence, while overall survival remains unaffected. NKCC1 serves as a prognostic marker and potential therapeutic target, linking chloride transporter imbalance ...

Neuropsychological Outcomes of U.S. Veterans with Report of Remote Blast-Related Concussion and Current Psychopathology [PDF]
This study explored whether remote blast-related MTBI and/or current Axis I psychopathology contribute to neuropsychological outcomes among OEF/OIF veterans with varied combat histories.

Epidemiological Studies on Rice Blast Disease
In order to know the effect of the degree of resistance or susceptibility of rice plants to fungal growth on infection rate of blast fungus, various rice varieties were grown in the field where various amounts of fertilizer were top-dressed. The disease increase was measured by lesion number and the degree of resistance or susceptibility of rice plants

dUTPases are involved in balancing the appropriate nucleotide pools. We showed that dUTPase is essential for normal development in zebrafish. The different zebrafish genomes contain several single‐nucleotide variations (SNPs) of the dut gene. One of the dUTPase variants displayed drastically lower protein stability and catalytic efficiency as compared ...

Epigenetic dysregulation in chronic myeloid leukaemia: A myriad of mechanisms and therapeutic options [PDF]
The onset of global epigenetic changes in chromatin that drive tumor proliferation and heterogeneity is a hallmark of many forms cancer. Identifying the epigenetic mechanisms that govern these changes and developing therapeutic approaches to modulate ...

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.
