AARS1‐Mediated H3K27 Lactylation Rewires Glycolysis to Sustain Aggressive and Recurrent Bladder Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
AARS1 drives PI3K–AKT–mTOR‐dependent glycolysis in bladder cancer, promoting lactate accumulation, increased lactylation, H3K27la enrichment at the HK2 promoter, and HK2 transcription. HK2 reinforces glycolysis, sustaining a metabolic–epigenetic program associated with tumor progression, recurrence, and metastasis.

DEVELOPMENT OF A 3D NUMERICAL MODEL FOR SIMULATING A BLAST WAVE PROPAGATION SYSTEM CONSIDERING THE POSITION OF THE BLASTING HOLE AND IN-SITU DISCONTINUITIES

open access: yesRudarsko-geološko-naftni Zbornik, 2022
Blasting operations are one of the most important parts of geotechnical and mining projects. Most rocks naturally have a series of discontinuities that significantly affect their responses to blast waves. In this paper, the propagation of a blast wave in

Mechanically Robust, Self‐Healable, and Cryotolerant GelMA Hydrogel for Wearable Tactile Sensors with Enhanced Durability, Lifetime, and Environmental Stability

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A mechanically robust, self‐healable, moisturizing, cryotolerant and adhesive GelMA hydrogel is developed by incorporating polyvinyl alcohol, acrylic acid, sodium tetraborate, and glycerol into GelMA matrix via a photoinitiated polymerization process. The hydrogel‐derived omni‐healable ionotronic pressure sensor can sensitively and consistently monitor

Advancements and future prospects in the fundamental theories of rock blasting research Ⅲ—Interaction mechanism between blast waves and cracks

open access: yes工程科学学报
The “three relationships (the relationship between rock failure characteristics and blast loading, the superposition effect between blast waves and explosion gas, and the interaction between blast waves and cracks)” are important contents of the rock ...

Tri‐Functional Electrocatalysis for Zinc–Air Battery Coupled Water Splitting: A Catalyst‐Electrode‐Device‐System Perspective

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review establishes a catalyst–electrode–device–system framework for tri‐functional HER/OER/ORR electrocatalysis that couples water splitting with Zn–air batteries. Five catalyst families are covered: noble‐metal, metal‐based, single‐atom, heterostructure, and metal‐free systems.

Mathematical models of blast induced TBI: current status, challenges and prospects

open access: yesFrontiers in Neurology, 2013
Blast induced traumatic brain injury (TBI) has become a signature wound of recent military activities and is the leading cause of death and long-term disability among U.S. soldiers. The current limited understanding of brain injury mechanisms impedes the

Glucocorticoid Receptor Signaling in Myeloid Cells Orchestrates Inflammation Resolution and Muscle Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Glucocorticoids (GC) are widely used to reduce inflammation. We show that the glucocorticoid receptor in myeloid cells regulates macrophage cell cycle and genome integrity during muscle regeneration. We demonstrate that dexamethasone administration during the early inflammatory phase delays muscle repair by increasing macrophage proliferation ...

Blast-Induced Damage on Millisecond Blasting Model Test with Multicircle Vertical Blastholes

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2015
To investigate the blast-induced damage effect on surrounding rock in vertical shaft excavation, 4 kinds of millisecond blasting model tests with three-circle blastholes were designed and carried out with excavation blasting in vertical shaft as the ...

Neuro-glial and systemic mechanisms of pathological responses in rat models of primary blast overpressure compared to ‘composite’ blast.

open access: yesFrontiers in Neurology, 2012
A number of experimental models of blast brain injury have been implemented in rodents and larger animals. However, the variety of blast sources and the complexity of blast wave biophysics have made data on injury mechanisms and biomarkers difficult to ...

Molecular Bases and Genetic Design of Rice Disease Resistance for Optimized Yield and Sustainable Agriculture

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study integrates rice immune perception, signal transduction, and resistance output into a multi‐omics framework. By combining high‐throughput sequencing, phenomics, and AI‐assisted design with marker‐assisted selection, gene editing, and rapid domestication, we aim to accelerate the precise breeding of disease‐resistant rice varieties by ...
