Characterization of variability in blazar light curves [PDF]
AbstractBlazars represent the dominant population of the extragalactic γ‐ray sources in the universe. These sources exhibit some characteristic properties such as strong and nonthermal continuum emission over the entire electromagnetic spectrum, from radio to Tera electron Volts (TeV) γ‐rays, with rapid variability on all timescales.

BLAZAR ANTI-SEQUENCE OF SPECTRAL VARIABILITY FOR INDIVIDUAL TeV BLAZARS [PDF]
We compile from literature the broadband SEDs of twelve TeV blazars observed simultaneously or quasi-simultaneously with Fermi/LAT and other instruments. Two SEDs are available for each of the objects and the state is identified as a low or high state according to its flux density at GeV/TeV band.

Deterministic Aspect of the γ-Ray Variability in Blazars [PDF]
Abstract Linear time series analysis, mainly the Fourier transform-based methods, has been quite successful in extracting information contained in the ever-modulating light curves of active galactic nuclei, and thereby contribute in characterizing the general features of supermassive black hole systems.

Blazar Variability with the Vera C. Rubin Legacy Survey of Space and Time [PDF]
With their emission mainly coming from a relativistic jet pointing toward us, blazars are fundamental sources for studying extragalactic jets and their central engines, consisting of supermassive black holes fed by accretion disks.

OPTICAL INTRA-DAY VARIABILITY IN BLAZARS [PDF]
We selected a sample of a dozen blazars which are the prime candidates for simultaneous multi-wavelength observing campaigns in their outburst phase. We searched for optical outbursts, intra-day variability and short term variability in these blazars. We carried out optical photometric monitoring of nine of these blazars in 13 observing nights during ...

Rapid VHE variability in blazars [PDF]
Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN) are known to show significant variability over a wide frequency range. We review observational results on the variability characteristics of blazars in the very high energy (VHE) domain, focusing on recent findings of rapid VHE variability and evidence for an underlying multiplicative driving process in PKS 2155-304.

The Nature of Micro-Variability in Blazars
We present the results of a long-term study designed to investigate the nature of micro-variability in blazars carried out primarily at the Southeastern Association for Research in Astronomy (SARA) observatories. We analyzed micro-variability data of fifteen OVV quasars and BL Lac sources collected from 1995 to 2021.

Theoretical Study of the Effects of Magnetic Field Geometry on the High-Energy Emission of Blazars
The knowledge of the structure of the magnetic field inside a blazar jet, as deduced from polarization observations at radio to optical wavelengths, is closely related to the formation and propagation of relativistic jets that result from accretion onto ...
