Platinum Group Element Traces of CAMP Volcanism Associated With Low‐Latitude Environmental and Biological Disruptions

open access: yesGeophysical Monograph Series, Page 263-304., 2021

Exploring the links between Large Igneous Provinces and dramatic environmental impact

An emerging consensus suggests that Large Igneous Provinces (LIPs) and Silicic LIPs (SLIPs) are a significant driver of dramatic global environmental and biological changes, including mass extinctions.

Experimental and Numerical Study on Fracture Characteristics of Interface between In Situ Engineered Cementitious Composites and Steel Deck

open access: yesAdvances in Materials Science and Engineering, 2021
In this study, engineered cementitious composite (ECC) is used as the pavement of orthotropic steel deck bridge and an epoxy adhesive is used to achieve wet-bonding between the steel deck and cast-in-place ECC.

7000 Years of Aboriginal Mining at Sugarloaf Hill in the Riverland Region of South Australia

open access: yesArchaeology in Oceania, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Silcrete and chert are commonly represented in Aboriginal archaeological lithic assemblages across large parts of the southwestern Murray‐Darling Basin (MDB). In South Australia (SA), these materials were sourced from a series of quarries located along the incised course of the Murray River through the upper Riverland region.

[Transfer of cefmenoxime to burn blister fluids].

open access: yesThe Japanese journal of antibiotics, 1984
Transfer of cefmenoxime (CMX) into the burn blister fluids was studied in 10 burned patients with 2 administrated doses (25, 50 mg/kg). CMX concentrations in serum and burn blister fluid after 1 hour intravenous drip infusion were measured using Proteus mirabilis ATCC 21100 as the test organism grown in the DST agar medium.

Blister fluid as a source of steroid resistance biomarkers in patients with life-threatening bullous dermatoses: An observational cohort controlled study

open access: yesКубанский научный медицинский вестник
Background. Bullous dermatoses are severe life-threatening antibody-induced organ-specific multifactorial diseases resulting from a genetic predisposition. Systemic glucocorticosteroids are the first-line therapy for many bullous dermatoses.

Follicle Stimulating Hormone in Cattle Breeding: Fundamentals, Innovations, and Scope

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
FSH is crucial in cattle reproduction, with exogenous administration enhancing breeding and embryo production. Recombinant FSH offers advantages over pituitary‐extracted variants, including fewer injections, reduced stress, and safer production. These innovations improve breeding efficiency, optimize reproductive outcomes, and contribute to sustainable

Multiplex Bead Array Assay for Detection of 25 Soluble Cytokines in Blister Fluid of Patients with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome Type 1

open access: yesMediators of Inflammation, 2006
Inflammatory processes are known to be involved at least in the early phase of complex regional pain syndrome type 1 (CRPS1). Blister fluid obtained from the involved extremities displayed increased amounts of proinflammatory cytokines IL-6 and TNFα ...

Repeated intradermal lipopolysaccharide challenge responses in healthy volunteers: Implications for clinical pharmacology studies

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Aim Intradermal application of lipopolysaccharide (LPS), a Toll‐like receptor 4 agonist, induces a local inflammatory response and is used as a human challenge model to evaluate the pharmacodynamics of investigational medicinal products. While currently applied in a single, parallel‐group setting, alternative within‐subject designs involving repeated ...

Effect of Immunomodulator Pyrimethamine and Cimetidine on Immunosuppression Induced by Burn Blister Fluid

open access: yesIranian Journal of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, 2004
Despite recent advances in burn wound management, sepsis remains the main cause of death in patients resuscitated after major thermal injury. Increased susceptibility to infections has been related to severe suppression of the immune system.

Lost and found in translation: the value of the human imiquimod model

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Topical imiquimod (IMQ), a Toll‐like receptor (TLR) 7 agonist, induces transient cutaneous inflammation and is widely used in preclinical research as a ‘psoriasis‐like’ mouse model. However, accumulating evidence indicates substantial divergence between IMQ‐driven biology and human plaque psoriasis pathogenesis.
