Pharmacokinetics of cefetamet in plasma and skin blister fluid [PDF]

open access: yesAntimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy, 1996
Cefetamet pivoxil is an oral cephalosporin with enhanced affinity for the target penicillin-binding proteins 1 and 3 and an increased stability to beta-lactamases compared with older cephalosporins, such as cefalexin or cefaclor. The pharmacokinetics of cefetamet pivoxil was determined after the seventh and final dose of 500 mg of cefetamet pivoxil in ...

Burn blister fluids in the neovascularization stage of burn wound healing: A comparison between superficial and deep partial-thickness burn wounds

open access: yesBurns & Trauma, 2013
Burn wound healing is a complex and dynamic process that involves the interaction between different cell types and mediators. Neovascularization is an imperative stage of wound healing and consists of not only angiogenesis but also adult vasculogenesis ...

Water nanolayer facilitated solitary-wave-like blisters in MoS2 thin films

open access: yesNature Communications, 2023
Solitary waves are unique in nonlinear systems, but their formation and propagation in the nonlinear fluid-structure interactions have yet to be further explored. As a typical nonlinear system, the buckling of solid thin films is fundamentally related to

Maize Kernel Composition and Morphology Influences Pericarp Retention During Nixtamalization

open access: yesCereal Chemistry, EarlyView.
Abstract Background and Objectives Pericarp retention during nixtamalization directly influences masa quality, affecting texture, machinability, and nutritional content of staple foods such as tortillas and chips. Despite its industrial relevance, the underlying kernel traits that govern pericarp retention remain poorly characterized.

Quantitation Of Specific Proteins In Blister Fluid

open access: yesJournal of Investigative Dermatology, 1970
Radial immunodiffusion is used to determine specific proteins in friction blister fluid and cantharidin blister fluid of human volunteers. Four proteins (albumin, fibrinogen, immunoglobin IgG and IgM) were determined in blister fluid pooled 2, 4 and 21 hours after blistering.

Tuning the Growth Pattern of Triangular Silver Nanoplates from Lateral to Vertical by Secondary Metal Addition

open access: yesChemPhysChem, Volume 26, Issue 6, March 15, 2025.
What happens, if in the synthesis of flat silver platelets, the slow deposition of silver along twinning faults is disturbed by the addition of a nobler metal? We have looked into it and found a way to fine‐tune the metal deposition in lateral and vertical direction.

Robinow syndrome DVL1 variants disrupt morphogenesis and appendage formation in a Drosophila disease model

open access: yesDevelopmental Dynamics, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Robinow syndrome is a rare developmental syndrome caused by variants in genes in Wnt signaling pathways. We previously showed that expression of patient variants in Dishevelled 1 (DVL1) in Drosophila and chicken models disrupts the balance of canonical and non‐canonical Wnt signaling.

Catalytic Antioxidant Activity of Acyclic and Macrocyclic Selenides: Insights Into Structure–Activity Relationships and Mechanisms From Kinetic and Computational Studies

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, EarlyView.
Structure–activity relationships of antioxidant activities of selenides were established by experimental and computational methods. Several structures displayed strong catalytic activity in an NMR‐based assay. Diverse selenides were shown to act as potent catalytic antioxidants.

Pharmacokinetics of dalbavancin in plasma and skin blister fluid [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy, 2007
Dalbavancin is a novel lipoglycopeptide antibiotic in development for the treatment of complicated skin and skin structure infections (cSSSIs) caused by Gram-positive bacteria. The aim of the present study was to assess the penetration of dalbavancin into skin blister fluid.Nine healthy subjects (five males; ranging in age from 26 to 57 years) were ...
