Cryptanalysis of lightweight block ciphers

open access: yes, 2011
One of the ways to provide information security is cryptography. Traditionally, cryptographic operations as encryption of data have been applied to protect the information contained in a centralized and powerful computing environment.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

The vulnerability analysis and the security evaluation of block ciphers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The first step for evaluation of block ciphers is the confidence on attainment of some properties such as completeness, strict avalanche criterion and static information leakage.

Dual PI3K/AKT and CDK4/6 inhibition reveals selective sensitivity in an SHH medulloblastoma stem cell model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Targeted therapy was evaluated in SHH medulloblastoma using neuroepithelial stem cell (NES) and tumor‐derived NES‐like (tNES) models in 2D monolayers and 3D spheroids. PI3K, AKT, and CDK4/6 inhibitors had minimal effects in NES but markedly reduced viability and growth and induced apoptosis in tNES cells, revealing distinct therapeutic vulnerabilities.

Block Ciphers: Analysis, Design and Applications

open access: yes, 1994
In this thesis we study cryptanalysis, applications and design of secret key block ciphers. In particular, the important class of Feistel ciphers is studied, which has a number of rounds, where in each round one applies a cryptographically weak ...

Block Ciphers and Stream Ciphers: The State of the Art [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
In these lecture notes we survey the state of the art in symmetric key encryption, in particular in the block ciphers and stream ciphers area. The area of symmetric key encryption has been very active in the last five years due to growing interest from ...

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

New Linear Trails and Linear Hulls of CHAM

open access: yesIEEE Access
CHAM is a family of lightweight block ciphers with block sizes of 64 bits and 128 bits. CHAM performs very well in lightweight environments and is known to be one of the block ciphers that can be implemented with the smallest hardware area. In this paper,

Related-key attacks on block ciphers

open access: yes, 2009
One of the most important cryptographic primitives is the concept of block ciphers which yields confidentiality for data transmission in communication.

The Pseudorandomness of Elastic Block Ciphers

open access: yes, 2005
We investigate elastic block ciphers, a method for constructing variable length block ciphers, from a theorectical perspective. We view the underlying structure of an elastic block cipher as a network, which we refer to as an elastic network, and analyze
