In the blood–testis barrier, occludin is crucial for tight junctions. This study demonstrates that occludin‐targeting short peptides disrupt junction integrity, inducing immune cell infiltration, tumor necrosis factor‐α/interleukin‐6 secretion and mitochondrial dysfunction, ultimately triggering apoptosis.

On maximum residual block Kaczmarz method for solving large consistent linear systems
In this paper, we propose two block variants of the Kaczmarz method for solving large-scale consistent linear equations $ Ax = b $. The first method, named the maximum residual block Kaczmarz (denoted as MRBK) method, first partitions the coefficient ...

An adaptive blocking strategy for matrix factorizations
On most high-performance architectures, data movement is slow compared to floating-point (in particular, vector) performance. On these architectures block algorithms have been successful for matrix computations. By considering a matrix as a collection of submatrices (the so-called blocks) one naturally arrives at algorithms that require little data ...

Current trends in single‐cell RNA sequencing applications in diabetes mellitus
Single‐cell RNA sequencing is a powerful approach to decipher the cellular and molecular landscape at a single‐cell resolution. The rapid development of this technology has led to a wide range of applications, including the detection of cellular and molecular mechanisms and the identification and introduction of novel potential diagnostic and ...

Cleavable N‐terminal Thioredoxin fusion enabled soluble expression and purification of otherwise insoluble SARS‐CoV‐2 Nucleocapsid (N) protein. A four‐step purification strategy yielded highly homogeneous, RNA‐free N protein. Binding assays showed high RNA affinity (Kd ~ 28 nm). The study will facilitate high‐resolution structural studies of N protein,

Lipschitz estimate for elliptic equations with oscillatory coefficients
Regularity for elliptic equations with oscillatory coefficients was concerned. Problem domains were periodic and consisted of a connected region with normal permeability and a disconnected matrix block subset with high permeability.

The off-diagonal block of a PPT matrix
Abstract We give an operator inequality involving the off-diagonal block of a positive partial transpose matrix and the geometric mean of its diagonal blocks. Some new eigenvalue inequalities are derived, nicely completing the existing ones.

Genetic diversity and population structure of the Taigan dog breed
The Taigan is a rare sighthound from the mountains of Kyrgyzstan. We used DNA markers to study its genetic diversity and compare it with other sighthound breeds. Our findings show that the Taigan shares close genetic ties with the Kazakh Tazy, suggesting a common ancestry shaped by nomadic traditions and regional adaptation.
