Blood Bank Quality Control: I. Whole Blood Parameters
American Journal of Clinical Pathology, 1972A statistical analysis of 250 donor units of whole blood for net weight, hematocrit, specific gravity, erythrocyte volume and weight, plasma acid-citrate-dextrose volume and weight, leukocyte count (per cu. mm.), and absolute leukocyte content (per unit) was undertaken.

Coagulation Parameters After Retransfusion of Unwashed Blood
The Journal of Arthroplasty, 2006Postoperative blood salvage reduces the risk of allogenic transfusion in patients undergoing elective total joint arthroplasty. We measured the concentrations of coagulation parameters after autotransfusion of unwashed shed blood in 22 patients having elective joint arthroplasty and compared them with patients without retransfusion. Twenty-two patients

Blood clot parameters: Prejudgment of fibrinolysis in thromboelastography
Clinica Chimica Acta, 2018Thromboelastography (TEG) is a physical method to simulate the whole process of coagulation and fibrinolysis in the human body environment, and then it also can quickly determine whether patients with hypercoagulable, low coagulation, fibrinolysis or other symptoms.

Relationship between blood metabolic and endocrine parameters and blood and milk immune parameters
2003The relationship between dietary variations and oxidative stress has been poorly investigated under field conditions. Changes of the diet starch content were introduced to study whether they could induce oxidative stress in early lactating heifers. In addition, the association between blood metabolic, endocrine responses and indicators of milk cellular

Blood antioxidant parameters in patients with diabetic retinopathy
International Journal of Molecular Medicine, 2004It has been postulated that enhanced generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) may take part in a pathogenesis of diabetic microvascular complication - retinopathy. There are two types of diabetic retinopathy, non-proliferative (simplex) and proliferative.

Scaling of blood parameters in mammals
Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology Part A: Physiology, 1980Abstract 1. 1. Values for blood plasma and red cell volumes, as well as hematocrit and half-saturation (T 50 ) values in male and female mammals, both aquatic and terrestrial, are submitted to linear (log-log) regression analysis. 2. 2. The slope of the regression lines for blood and plasma volumes is identically one.

Blood coagulation parameters in retinal arterial occlusion
Graefe's Archive for Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology, 1999Thromboembolism is considered a crucial event in the pathogenesis of retinal occlusion, resulting in a severe damage of central or peripheral visual function. We evaluated hemostatic system parameters in the plasma of 14 patients (11 males and 3 females aged 59-73 years) affected by acute retinal ischemia (central retinal arterial occlusion or arterial ...

Blood Leukocytes as Prognostic Parameter in Stroke Thrombectomy
Cerebrovascular Diseases, 2016Purpose: Despite the recent success of mechanical thrombectomy (MT) in the treatment of acute ischemic stroke, prognostic parameters and criteria for patient selection are yet uncertain. Elevated levels of white blood cells (WBCs) constitute an independent risk factor for unfavorable outcome.

EFFECT OF REPEATED BLOOD TRANSFUSION ON SOME BLOOD PARAMETERS
Al-Azhar Medical Journal, 2017Background: Repeated blood transfusion causes a lot of complications in the body specially iron deposition in different organs in the body. Objective: Investigating the changes which occurred in the human body blood parameters on repeated blood transfusion.

Blood parameters of healthy mink.
Canadian journal of comparative medicine : Revue canadienne de medecine comparee, 1972Packed cell volume (PCV) and hemoglobin (Hb) were not dependent on color type. Both were significantly higher (P < 0.01) in the adult male mink as compared to the adult female. The total erythrocyte count was more variable but the parameter appeared unaffected by either sex or color types.
