Fibrates Inhibit PLTP‐induced M2 Macrophage Infiltration and Increase the Sensitivity of Hepatocellular Carcinoma to ICIs

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Phospholipid transfer protein(PLTP) plays a critical role in forming a complex with kinase A (AURKA) and P65. This interaction facilitates phosphorylation of P65 at Ser536, leading to the activation of the NF‐κB signaling pathway. Ultimately, this leads to the upregulation of downstream cytokines, including IL‐6, IL‐8, and CSF‐1, which promotes M2 ...

Recombinant gamma interferon induces hypertriglyceridemia and inhibits post-heparin lipase activity in cancer patients. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1986
Animals suffering from malignancy or chronic infection develop characteristic metabolic abnormalities, including a well-defined hypertriglyceridemic state.

Addressing the needs of traumatic brain injury with clinical proteomics. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
BackgroundNeurotrauma or injuries to the central nervous system (CNS) are a serious public health problem worldwide. Approximately 75% of all traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) are concussions or other mild TBI (mTBI) forms.

Paternal Circadian Disruption Impairs Offspring Cognition via Sperm microRNAs

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Paternal circadian disruption remodels the sperm small RNA payload, elevating miR‐92a‐3p/miR‐25‐3p levels and perturbing early embryonic gene regulatory programs. Microinjection experiments and single‐embryo transcriptomics reveal sex‐specific developmental vulnerabilities, ultimately impairing offspring hippocampal synaptic plasticity and cognition ...

Effect of cardiopulmonary bypass on annexin A1 expression in peripheral blood mononuclear cells of children with congenital heart disease [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Medical Biochemistry, 2012
This study aimed to investigate the effect of cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) on Annexin A1 expression in the peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) of children with congenital heart disease (CHD).

Zinc Exposure Causes Disulfidptosis to Induce Miscarriage by Up‐Regulating GATA1/METTL1/SLC7A11 Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Zn exposure up‐regulates GATA1, promoting GATA1‐mediated METTL1 and SLC7A11 transcription. It also enhances METTL1‐mediated m7G modification on SLC7A11 mRNA, increasing SLC7A11 mRNA stability. Ultimately, Zn exposure up‐regulates SLC7A11 at both transcriptional and post‐transcriptional levels, causing disulfidptosis. Knockdown of murine Slc7a11, Gata1,

Detection of Egg Production of Tegal Duck by Blood Protein Polymorphism

open access: yesAnimal Production: Indonesian Journal of Animal Production, 2008
The aim of this research was to study the effect of transfferine, albumine, and haemoglobine loci to egg production characteristic of Tegal duck.  100 lying of Tegal ducks keeping by batteray-pen were used in this study.

Preliminary Reference Intervals for Capillary Zone Electrophoresis Fractions and an Examination of MRP-126 as a Potential Marker of Inflammation in the Aldabra Giant Tortoise (Aldabrachelys gigantea)

open access: yesJournal of Zoological and Botanical Gardens
The diagnostic utility and reference intervals for blood studies in Aldabra giant tortoises (Aldabrachelys gigantea) are not well described. Capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE) has been evaluated in non-mammalian vertebrates and shows a higher fraction ...

BGN/MDK Axis in the Melanoma Tumor Microenvironment Strengthens Tumor Malignancy by Modulating Cancer Cells and Cancer‐Associated Fibroblasts Crosstalk

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that m6A regulators cooperatively upregulate BGN in melanoma, promoting malignancy. Within the tumor microenvironment, CAFs show highest BGN expression. The BGN/MDK axis mediates cancer‐stroma crosstalk, driving normal fibroblast (NF) activation and enhancing the pro‐tumor effect of CAFs, highlighting a promising therapeutic target ...

Restriction of Individual Branched‐Chain Amino Acids has Distinct Effects on the Development and Progression of Alzheimer's Disease in 3xTg Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Protein restriction (PR) slows Alzheimer's disease (AD) in mice, and other benefits of PR are due to decreased branched‐chain amino acids (BCAAs). We show that restricting any BCAA has benefits, with sex‐ and BCAA‐specific impacts on pathology, molecular signaling, and cognition.
