Eosinophils play a crucial role in the progression of temporomandibular joint osteoarthritis (TMJOA). Canopy FGF signaling regulator 2 (CNPY2) which is contributed to ERS is upregulated in the renal tubules of patients with diabetic nephropathy (DN). Mechanistically, CNPY2 may regulate ferroptosis and MAM integrity in renal tubular epithelial cells through PERK/ATF4/CHAC1 pathway, thereby promoting the progression of DN.
