Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Blood Volume Determinations in Chickens

open access: yesPoultry Science, 1950
Abstract HISTORY AS a normal constituent of the body of all animals, blood is present in relatively large quantities as compared with other body fluids and has been the subject of considerable research and study. Because of inadequate laboratory equipment and proper techniques for the measurement of the amount of blood in the body, early ...

Tables for Estimating Dilutional Hematocrits and Blood Flow Rates from Total Blood Volume and Body Surface Area Formulae

open access: yes, 2023
This paper provides a historical look at the development of formulae for predicting body surface area and total blood volume. A variety of experimental methods used for the development of body surface area and total blood volume formulae are briefly ...

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Contrast echocardiography for pulmonary blood volume quantification [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Pulmonary blood volume quantification is important both for diagnosis and for monitoring of the circulatory system. It requires employment of transpulmonary indicator dilution techniques, which are very invasive due to the need for double catheterization.
