Biodegradable PLA-PHA Polymer Blown Extrusion Processing Properties
Korea Industrial Technology Convergence SocietyAs delivery culture grows rapidly, global regulations on disposable products and packaging materials are being strengthened. The use of various chemical additives and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plasticizers in the packaging material manufacturing process has been confirmed to cause water pollution and microplastics.

Edible antimicrobial films made from starch/gelatin (S/G) incorporated with different ε-polylysine hydrochloride (ε-PL) contents were developed by low-temperature extrusion blowing process. ε-PL addition reduced the complex viscosity and storage modulus of blends, while promoted the formation of hydrogen bonding among film components.

Fabrication of PBAT/polyethylene blends mulching film via blown film extrusion process
Korea-Australia Rheology Journal, 2020To extend the period of decomposition and property degradation of polybutylene adipate terephthalate (PBAT) mulching film for long-term use, PBAT was compounded with polyethylene mixture (LDPE: LLDPE = 15:85), calcium carbonate, and illite. PBAT mulching films were prepared using a blown film extrusion process with 80 mm diameter blowing die.

Dynamic modeling of blown‐film extrusion
Polymer Engineering & Science, 2003Abstract Past dynamic studies of blown‐film extrusion have been confined to the stability analysis of the linearized equations. The full set of nonlinear equations comprises a system of partial differential and algebraic equations with boundary conditions that vary from author to author.
