Geologic Features of the Petroleum ‐ rich Sags in the Bohai Bay Basin
Acta Geologica Sinica - English Edition, 2008Abstract: More than 40 years have been passed since exploration and development of oil‐gas began in the Bohai Bay Basin. Though we have faced with many difficulties during our exploration, exciting discoveries in petroleum‐rich sags have been made in recent years.

Petroleum charging and leakage in the BZ25-1 field, Bohai Bay basin
Journal of Earth Science, 2012This paper discusses origin and charging histories of the Bozhong (渤中) 25-1 field (BZ25-1) in the Bozhong sub-basin, Bohai (渤海) Bay basin. Petroleum is contained in both Paleogene and Neogene reservoirs in the BZ25-1 field. The origin of the field was studied using biomarker distributions for 61 source rock samples and 34 oil samples.

Petroleum resources in the Nanpu sag, Bohai Bay Basin, eastern China
AAPG Bulletin, 2018ABSTRACT The Nanpu sag is an important secondary tectonic division of the Bohai Bay Basin and has an area of 1532 km2 (591 mi2), of which 1000 km2 (386 mi2) has been explored near Bohai. Recently, exploration has gradually shifted from continental to beach to shallow-marine settings, with significant exploration breakthroughs having ...

Mixing scenario of a vagarious oil in the Dongying Depression, Bohai Bay Basin
Fuel, 2021Abstract An oil from the third Member of Shahejie Formation (Es3) in well C104 from the Dongying Depression, Bohai Bay Basin, exhibits a vagarious mixing scenario of considerably distinctive maturities. Detailed molecular geochemical analysis was performed on eight oil samples and ten source rock samples from the Paleogene Shahejie Formation and ...

The reserve-growth model of oil fields in the Bohai Bay basin, China
AAPG Bulletin, 2014ABSTRACT With increasing exploration maturity, reserve growth is becoming an increasingly important component of petroleum resources worldwide. The U.S. Geological Survey has studied reserve-growth models for United States and foreign petroliferous basins for nearly two decades and has developed several reserve-growth forecast ...

Evidence of Formation Overpressure Caused by Tectonic Compression in Bohai Bay Basin
Day 3 Wed, May 04, 2022, 2022Abstract Pore overpressure is widely developed in Paleogene strata of Bohai Bay. It is traditionally believed that overpressure in this area is caused by unbalanced compaction of thick mudstone and hydrocarbon generation of organic matter. By using Eaton formula to calculate an exploration well that encountered overpressure in the strike-

Genetic Types of Natural Gas in the Dongpu Depression, Bohai Bay Basin
Proceedings, 2018Summary this paper analyzed the genesis of Paleogene gas from major gas fields in the Dongpu depression, and proposed a comprehensive classification for three types of genetic gas combined with the special geological conditions.

The Décollement Structures in Jiyang Depression, Bohai Bay Basin, China
Chinese Journal of Geophysics, 2008AbstractThis paper uses seismic, drilling, and oil‐exploitation data to study the strata, structural deformation and the physical properties of rocks in the Jiyang Depression. The result shows the existence of décollement structures. The décollement structures occurred mainly along the unconformity surface between the Cambrian and Archean, and the ...
