Automated poultry processing lines still rely on humans to lift slippery, easily bruised carcasses onto a shackle conveyor. Deformability, anatomical variance, and hygiene rules make conventional suction and scripted motions unreliable. We present ChicGrasp, an end‐to‐end hardware‐software co‐designed imitation learning framework, to offer a ...

Advancements in Molecular Mechanism Research on Bolting Traits in Vegetable Crops
Bolting and flowering of vegetables are induced by vernalization in their early growth stage. This phenomenon is called premature bolting, and it has caused massive losses in production of vegetables such as cabbage, celery, carrot, radish, and spinach ...

Rapid evolution of morphology and adaptive life history in the invasive California wild radish (Raphanus sativus) and the implications for management. [PDF]
Understanding the evolution and demography of invasive populations may be key for successful management. In this study, we test whether or not populations of the non-native, hybrid-derived California wild radish have regionally adapted to divergent ...

Pilot cryo tunnel: Attachments, seals, and insulation [PDF]
Several different tests are described which simulated the actual configuration of a cryogenic wind tunnel operating at pressures up to 5 atmospheres (507 kPa) and temperatures from -320 F (78K) to 120 F (322K) in order to determine compatible bolting ...

Bioinspired Twisted Artificial Muscles with Enhanced Performance for Underwater Applications
A climbing plant‐inspired twisted artificial muscle (TAM) with a braided configuration and seal‐inspired thermal insulation enables high‐performance underwater actuation. Enhanced deformation, reduced heat dissipation, and rapid motion are validated through a bionic ray that exhibits straight and turning motions.
