On Characteristics of a Bolted Joint with a Tap Bolt

open access: yesTRANSACTIONS OF THE JAPAN SOCIETY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS Series C, 1981
The purpose of this paper is to examine a distribution of contact pressures on the interface of a cylindrical clamped part fastened with a tap bolt to a base which is sufficiently larger than the clamped part. The analysis is treated as a contact problem of two bodies.

SNP Alleles Associated With Low Bolting Tendency in Sugar Beet

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2021
The identification of efficient molecular markers related to low bolting tendency is a priority in sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L.) breeding. This study aimed to identify SNP markers associated with low bolting tendency by establishing a genome-wide ...

Transcriptomic analysis identifies differentially expressed genes (DEGs) associated with bolting and flowering in radish (Raphanus sativus L.)

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2016
The transition of vegetative growth to bolting and flowering is an important process in the life cycle of plants, which is determined by numerous genes forming an intricate network of bolting and flowering.

Full-length transcriptome analysis provides new insights into the early bolting occurrence in medicinal Angelica sinensis

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
Angelica sinensis (Oliv.) Diels root part is an integral component of traditional Chinese medicine, widely prescribed to improve blood circulation and blood stasis. However, early bolting of A. sinensis compromises the quality of the roots and hence is a

Quantitative Trait Locus Mapping and Identification of Candidate Genes Controlling Bolting in Spinach (Spinacia oleracea L.)

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2022
Spinach is a typical light-sensitive plant. Long days can induce early bolting, thereby influencing the regional adaptation, quality, and vegetative yield of spinach.

Gene co-expression network analysis reveals key pathways and hub genes in Chinese cabbage (Brassica rapa L.) during vernalization

open access: yesBMC Genomics, 2021
Background Vernalization is a type of low temperature stress used to promote rapid bolting and flowering in plants. Although rapid bolting and flowering promote the reproduction of Chinese cabbages (Brassica rapa L. ssp.

A detailed analysis of the BR1 locus suggests a new mechanism for bolting after winter in sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L.)

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2016
Sugar beet (Beta vulgaris ssp. vulgaris) is a biennial, sucrose-storing plant, which is mainly cultivated as a spring crop and harvested in the vegetative stage before winter.

Inhibition of spinach bolting by growth regulators

open access: yesActa Agrobotanica, 2015
Spinach (Spinacia oleracea L.) plants must be harvested during a short period of time because they bolt just after producing some edible leaves. Maleic hydrazide (MH) and its commercial preparation "Antyrost" were found to inhibit bolting very strongly ...
